I bought a used iMac for my kid. Shows up without a keyboard or mouse. I contact customer service. "Keyboard and mouse not included. It's on the product page." I look, search, search, there it is in TINY print at the bottom. A desktop computer without a keyboard and mouse should be in the product title, because it's absurd. Now I want to return it because the extra cost I will have to spend takes away the benefit of buying it used. But, their policy: "If you opened the box, there's a 15% restocking fee." How do you know there's a problem without opening the box? And, "Customer is responsible for return shipping costs." So either I spend the $$$ on the keyboard/mouse (optional accessories on a desktop computer, to them) Or spend it and my time and headache returning the thing. It's a shady company. Stay away.

Ordered and paid for overnight…

Ordered and paid for overnight shipping. They did not ship my order. Instead I received a call after 6pm wanting me to verify my company address by submitting my company web address first. I indicated I paid for overnight shipping and the agent indicated that if I wanted to, she could just cancel the entire order. NOT the right answer in my opinion. They won't even give me a refund for the overnight shipping I paid for! (regular shipping is free)

CABLE Does not work and I am out 50$ for shipping.

I bought a cable which was supposed to be a Thunderbolt 2 Cable, but it seems like it's a thunderbolt 1 cable. On top of that, the cable doesn't work. So I wanted to return it. Unfortunately for me, the company doesn't know how to package cables, and put this minuscule cable in a giant box and charge me a NON REFUNDABLE 38$ for shipping. Along with telling me I will have to pay for shipping the item back. So this 75$ non working cable, will have cost me around 50$ and I don't have a working cable. If the item is broken or doesn't work... shipping should get refunded not classified as "an expendable" that's non refundable. Also nowhere on the website does it say that shipping is non refundable.I will NEVER shop with this company again if this is how they do business.

Customer Service? Never heard of her

Ordered parts for my exact model of iMac and received incorrect parts. They gauged me on shipping, refused to cover shipping for the refund. In total I will have paid more in shipping than the value of the product because of their mistake. Beeate dealing with these guys.

Well engineered products but quality control is slipping.

I’m an OWC customer since 2010. Over the years I became convinced of OWC reliability, but now not as much. Last Dec ’24, I ordered five storage units from them as part of an upgrade for three Apple M-series computers. Invoices came in just under $3,000. Two 4TB SSD Express units purchased to date are fine. The 22TB STX is working fine so far. The 4TB Mini Stack came with AC prongs incompatible with the provided power supply delaying that computer upgrade. To facilitate the correction I took and provided photos to OWC support. Once OWC determined they sent the wrong prongs, they shipped the correct ones. That new 4TB Mini Stack was unusable for some days. The 3TB STX recently began throwing errors from its HDD. After a lengthy online support chat and troubleshooting that led to the problem not being solved, an RMA was issued. As required by OWC, I paid shipping and insurance to return the defective unit for exchange. This issue added about $40 to the cost of the unit. I received the repaired unit back, shipped to me on their dime, so far it is working. Therefore, of the five star rating I am docking one star each for the two problem units of the five ordered. I am docking another star because the issues I described were not caught by OWC quality control.

Very nice NVMe Drive Enclosure

Received the OWC Express 1M2 3 days sooner than expected. I haven't had the opportunity to put the OWC Express 1M2 through it's paces but build quality appears to be top notch. Packaging is of good quality providing good protection during shipping.

customer dis-service team

I've been buying from OWC since the early 2000's. My 2018 Warehouse Computer died. It happens. On Wednesday I Found a used replacement Mac Mini on OWC that stated "In Stock, Ships Same Day" I ordered it and a Thunderbolt cable to go with and paid extra $73 for FedEx Priority Overnight Delivery the next business day by 10:30 a.m. Shipping from Ohio to Tennessee. Great, Should be back up and running Thursday morning. Nope. No tracking, no shipment made. I called, and was told Mac Mini had to be built. 2-3 day lead. How can that be for a used Mac Mini. on OWC that stated "In Stock, Ships Same Day". After I complained Thursday, My Thunderbolt cable arrived (today) Friday but still no mac mini. I did not pay $73 overnight for a $19 cable. I was told this morning (Friday) to expect the mac mini today but FedEx tracking does not even show that they have accepted / received / scanned the package yet. After speaking with / chatting with 4 different OWC customer dis- service agents Thursday and Friday. It boils down to they claim "The shipping method applies when the order was shipped on April 3, 2025. Having overnight up to 2 days maximum transit time, you should receive it by Monday." ha ha ha I pointed out that I paid for FedEx Priority Overnight: Delivery the next business day by 10:30 a.m.. I provided a FedEx link that explains what the FedEx Priority Overnight service is and asked OWC to send me link that says FedEx Priority Overnight may take 2 days. They could NOT of course and said "Thank you for waiting, Matt. The minimum and maximum transit times I provided are for internal use only. We apologize; I am unable to share the link." I asked them to at least call fedex and change to Saturday delivery so I would not have to wait til Monday (if it even arrives then) but was told my order did not include "Saturday and Sunday are not included." Not one time did any of them give me a straight answer, blaming build time, transit time and weather. They didnt offer a different machine that could be overnighted. They never offered to refund the overnight fee I paid. I am so disappointed by the run around and lack of honesty or willingness to help resolve the problem from the customer dis-service team
