Totally agree with the 1 star reviews here. The ones who said the animals are In danger due to their egos and how rude and arrogant they are. Another review said they are actively looking for reasons not to adopt out their animals, also totally true. I truly believe that they are just a bunch egomaniacs with psychological issues projecting onto the adopters. They have a delusion and god complex that they are some animal crusaders protecting these poor cats from adopters. I adopted a cat from them 5 years ago who unfortunately fell off a balcony and died. I was not experienced then as my other cat did not jump off balconies at all. The foster carer failed to check my home situation and educate me on cat proofing. So they turned around and blamed me fully for the loss. 5 years on I just put in an application for a cat that nobody wants and they advertise that he's going really cheap on lonely hearts. And guess what they did ? That's right. They rejected my application out right because of what happened with my last adoption. How judgmental and unreasonable. They are simply looking for reasons not to get their cats adopted but yet advertise their cats for adoption They are so full of themselves , unreasonable and have a chip on their shoulders Also throughout these years I have been a loyal donor donating to their appeals healing them and they have the cheek to deny my application but didn't deny my monetary donation. Truly an appalling organisation that should not be in existence. DO NOT recommend dealing with them
I am very disappointed in the adoption process. They have made it difficult with rude abrupt emails with demands for payment. Does this organisation really care about giving homes to rescue kittens. The excitement and enjoyment quickly disappeared. But I must thank perth rescue angels, as we canceled this adoption and found a absolutely wonderful adoption Safe Avon Valley and there carer who was amazing in the help with the process of adopting two beautiful, healthy and cutest kittens. We dodged a bullet with Angel Rescue.
Absolutley ridiculas behavour from this group a cat was hit by a car and brought into a vets. Been told 3 differenet stories by the same person and they just want to keep the cat. And they call themselfs a charitable organisation there just wolfs in sheep clothing. Any animal that goes there is in real danger by the ego of the people running this organisation. Have also been told that i cant even try to see if its my cat. I also been told that it was a vet that said the sex of the cat then it was a volounteer. Absolutley discusting behavour, have also made a complaint with the police about this so it wont be going away.
So we said goodbye to our fur-baby Samhain on Saturday just gone. After weeks of treatment and thousands of dollars, his poor little kidneys gave out and *the* decision had to be made. He passed in my wife's arms, purring his little heart out. We've never not had a fur baby. We have our parrot Leonidas - but you can't cuddle up in bed with a parrot if you value your limbs. My wife said it's like our lives go into a "holding pattern" without something that purrs, and this 100% tracks. It's like we're not a complete family without a little purring heat seeking missile. So we approached Perth Rescue Angels after seeing this beautiful black 18 month old named Minxie. In their defence, we started the process over a long weekend in WA, so we didn't expect a response to our application until Tuesday 4/6/2024. We finally received a response after 6pm asking us to verify that the other pet in the house, a Pomeranian/Chihuahua cross puppy, was desexed, vaccinated and wormed. They asked these questions in the application and I answered, which irked me a bit because it seemed like one of those job interviews where they're standing there with your resume in their hand and then ask you to go over your job history - which they could do by looking at the thing in their hand.We received an answer on the 5th, which was a negative... because we didn't have another cat in the house - or rather because instead of a cat, there's a cat-sized puppy. A 16 week-old, cat-sized puppy. It's like they went over a checklist of things to fail us on:a) Someone home 24 hours/day - can't get them on thatb) Strict cats inside policy unless under supervision - or thatc) History of well-looked-after, long-lived pets - darn it!d) Extremely keen to adopt and standing there doing the Fry from Futurama "Shut up and take my money" meme - there must be somethinge) Another pet in the house to keep her company - AHA! It's a dog! Yes! Everyone calm down, we can reject this one after all! I've seen other people mention they've had similar issues on Reddit; that it feels like they're looking for reasons to not adopt out their babies. Now, while I can super understand wanting to make sure that they go to a good home, it feels like they're actively looking for a reason, any reason to say no - and yet they scream from the rafters that they need homes for their animals desperately. So tomorrow we're going to our local Pet Barn, which has cats from the Perth Cat Haven, to see if any of them decide we'd be a good mum and dad.
I have adopted 2 kittens on two separate occasions and can say nothing but great things both about Perth Rescue Angels and the two foster carers I received the kittens from. Both carers were exceptional in the way they handled the adoption, providing information about the kittens I was adopting and you could see they both are very passionate about the work they do. The adoption application was easy, and we needed to provide photographs on where the kitten would be living, agree to home visits if requested and provide identification. We were unsuccessful with a few of our adoption applications however I believe this shows that the charity does care about finding the right home to suit each individual animals particular needs (we have 2 large labradors which are inside dogs that would be unsuitable for some cats). I can do nothing but praise this charity for the work they do and highly recommend adopting from Perth Rescue Angels.
What an appalling charity. Me and my disabled friend really wanted a cat. She fell in love. We asked the foster family if we could possibly wait a week as we have guests staying and didn't want to scare the cat right away. The foster family said this wouldnt be a problem. We had spoken to here a couple of times getting all the info on the cat. I got an email from Perth rescue angels stating this is not the rules and here is your refund. No call telling us we can't ....just a no and here is your refund?. If we had know this we would of definitely made arrangements to collect the cat Both the manager and foster care person really don't seem to care about the animals they look after. I really would not use this charity as you may end up with a child or older person broken hearted.
I had a very bad experience fostering and adopting a cat from Perth Rescue Angels and would definitely not recommend them to anyone based on my experience. Go to the RSPCA or The Cat Haven if you wish to foster or adopt as they have much tighter protocols and are more reputable in my opinion.
