Review Time
We’ve been dealing with Samsara for over 19 months, and this has been one of the most frustrating business experiences we’ve ever had. They can care less about you as a client once they have signed you.We paid faithfully for months, even while three of our devices remained nonfunctional and support ignored repeated requests for help. No luck calling them and trying to get real assistance. When we finally stopped paying to get someone’s attention, Samsara suspended our access, then tried to charge us for the same suspended period and claim we violated the contract. In reality, they violated their own agreement by failing to provide working equipment, timely support, or basic communication. We have emails, call logs, and records showing over twenty different representatives, each contradicting the last. Every new rep starts from zero, introduces new “facts,” and buries the issue in confusion.Even now, after 19 months of documentation, they cannot provide a single clear, itemized ledger proving what they say we owe. Their explanations change weekly. One rep says we aren’t being charged for suspension time; the next sends documentation that proves we are. We’ve spent well over a year trying to resolve this in good faith. What we’ve learned is simple: Samsara’s customer support is a rotating wall of excuses. If you rely on accuracy, accountability, good customer service, working equipment, and transparency in your fleet operations, look elsewhere.
Long time customer. System works good but customer service lacks and our account rep lied to us. We were in the process of looking for a buyer and I point blank asked our account rep in an email exchange if we sold the business could we cancel without any further financial obligation to complete contract term. Account rep said yes, no problem. Sold business and can’t get them to honor our request to cancel contracts. Now “legal” team says only if business is bankrupt. No way to speak with anyone in support/CS departments or the legal team. Only email. Horrible experience and based on my experience I do not recommend them at all. They’re too big and don’t care about their customers. Account reps are on a revolving door there. They’re very communicative until you sign the contract. Then good luck getting help.
My experience with Samsara has been nothing short of exhausting. I first heard from them back in 2019, and from that very first email I made it clear that I was not interested in their dash cams. Over the years I have told them multiple times to stop contacting me, yet the calls and emails kept coming. I have lost count of how many times I have had to block phone numbers and mark their emails as spam just to get some peace. What stands out the most is that Samsara simply does not respect people’s requests to be left alone. Even after more than six years they continue to reach out, ignoring the fact that I could not be more clear about my lack of interest. That is not how a professional company should operate, and it says a lot about their business practices.I would never consider doing business with a company that treats potential customers this way. At this point, even if their products were free, I would not accept them. If you value your time and want to avoid constant unwanted contact, I strongly suggest staying away from Samsara.
What a bunch of liars. Prices keep going up. We negotiate a slightly better price. We renewed 2 trucks at agreed upon price. We had 6 more trucks to renew 45 days later. Told price would be the same. Renewal day comes; price is higher. Our service is suspended because we want the price we were quoted. No body can get on the phone and fix this. The person "That Can" doesn't have a phone??? are you freaking kidding me?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. We also took a truck out of service last year. Wore out,we decided not to replace it. They refused to prorate usage on a truck no longer in service. we paid a whole year for a truck sitting with a blown motor.
Don't believe the customer support sales pitch. If something fails with the product, in our case, one of the mounts, they will do nothing and tell you to buy a replacement. We have had these cameras for 6 months. If this is how it is, it is going to be a long 2.5 years to finish this contract.
The product works as advertized although they dropped many of our favorite feature with no reduction in price. My issue was that I was locked in for three years and at the end of that they auto-renewed me for another charging my credit card over $3k. I could not have canceled my account the day before. The day they charged my account I said I did not want to renew and they said too bad. I have fought with their customer service for a week now and made no progress.
This company is awful, I would give Zero Stars if possible. Be aware of their auto-renew policies. We have been in communication with multiple members of the Samsara teamfor over FIVE months regarding our account. Despite our repeated outreach, wehave not received a resolution. We were involuntarily placed into an autorenewingcontract at the end of our original three-year term — a contract wedid not authorize and have made clear we do not accept.Following the contract’s expiration, we specifically requested to speak withsomeone about adjusting or canceling our plan, as the auto-renewed pricing isnot financially feasible for our organization. Our efforts to obtain assistancehave led to endless referrals between team members, numerous unreturnedphone calls, and no meaningful progress.
