Brilliant service. I have been in the antique restoration business for over 30 years and Saxton would be my go to place for sawblades for my table saw etc. Ordered many blades from them and great correspondence via email and blades arrived next day most times. Just a pity they don't do bandsaw blades. Ordered one of these from Axminster and took nearly 9 days to arrive.
I have been using Saxton Blades for a number of years. Always a happy shopper. I have found blades to be a reasonable price and long lasting. Contacted customer service by Email, asking for help to find mitre saw and circular saw Blades with Triple Chip Teeth to cut compacted laminate worktops. Very quickly received a reply with link to the blades i needed. Placed my order Friday with free delivery. Received my blades, well packed on Saturday. Thank you. Again Excellent service with good blades.
I ordered a 216mm blade for my mitre saw and they accidentally sent a 210mm blade. This was immediately rectified when I emailed them and they sent me out both a replacement and a freepost label, to send the original blade back, very quickly. Great customer service.In terms of how it cuts, the blade feels very nice. It's a professional neon yellow blade, so I don't expect to change it for a long time given I'm a DIY user.I will definitely return for another blade when I need one for either my jigsaw or multi-tool.
Nice to see a UK based company supplying saw blades. I just hope they are not Chinese chinesium blades, the company info does not state if they are made in the UK.I used to work for black and decker making tct saw blades untill they moved manufacturing to china just to make more profit. Once the manufacturing machines broke down they just through labour at it and made them by hand . The DeWalt blade moved back to the USA.Devastating for the workers.The company needs to be clear where they make the blades. The blade seems ok so far Only time will tell . I probably won't buy another untill I find out if they are Chinese.
A good selection of blades to suit all types of machine.I bought an 80T blade for my Evolution Rage 3s and it cuts very nicely. Can't really comment on durability as I am a DIYer/hobbyist so it would take me quite a while to really exercise the blade.The stock is priced nicely for my needs - cheaper than the top-of-the-range stuff that is available out there yet distinctly better than the waste-of-money dross.Best of all I received my blade less than 24 hours after placing the order with the free delivery! And that was not long before xmas.
I purchased a 255mm saw blade on saturday and it arrived on Monday. Unfortunately it was damaged in transit. I emailed them and they answered saying it looks like it was damaged in the post and would send a replacement straight away, which they did. Unfortunately royal mail was delayed and then they sent it to the wrong depot, but it eventually arrived on the Thursday, but this was not the fault of saxton who had sent it next day delivery.
The blades are great. But unfortunately the customer services is poor. This is the only time I've had an issue and so reached out to them first to give them a chance to sort it. Unfortunately they didn't sort the issue and I was told blatantly 'there is nothing wrong with the website'. Even when I emailed back with the screenshots to show I was right, I was then ignored.Overview: I was overcharged. Their website messed up and showed me cheaper prices. By showing me cheaper prices also meant I had to add something extra to my basket to take me over the £20 limit so I could use their black Friday code. But when I'd completed the checkout, the total suddenly jumped up by 20%. And the higher amount also came out of my account.Going forward, will I use their website again? No I won't as I don't trust it. It would've been one of those things except the customer service was shocking. So knowing that there is no one you can turn to to correct any issues, I wouldn't use them again. I'll go to another brand for sure.Updated from 2 star to 1 star. They continue to argue with me that the price charged to my card was correct. Regardless of my screenshots as evidence that their website prices were incorrect. I feel like they've called me a liar and stupid! Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Had to go through my bank to file a claim. Thankfully got my money back.
