Thank you for your time and attention in resolving the damaged tile we'd received, with our contractor. As you can see from the attached photos, the Zeta Azul Blue Polished Marble and Brass Waterjet Mosaic Tile we selected from TileBar looks beautiful in our remodeled kitchen. I was steadfast in wanting this tile as I'd looked at 100s of tiles over 2 months. My initial disappointment with UPS' delivery of a fragile item and TileBar's poorly insulated packaging was proactively addressed when we received our final shipment of Zeta Azul Blue Polished Marble and Brass Waterjet Mosaic Tiles. TileBar's willingness to work with our contractor was evident in the high-quality packaging we received with our replacement tile.We've received so many compliments on our backsplash and are grateful to everyone who worked together to resolve this issue.
Trustpilot gave me the knowledge that while I like specific tiles from TileBar, beware of the shipping cost! The tiles are pretty but expensive themselves. With the shipping cost added, cost that are not considered in the beginning, are they really worth it? Maybe or maybe not.
A large portion of tiles arrived damaged and unusable. The company did send new shipment to replace damaged tiles, but these also arrived broken. My torn-up kitchen project has been delayed by several weeks at least, and that doesn't even account for now having to source new tile from an alternate vendor. I'm not sure how a tile company doesn't know how to package fragile items for shipping, but I will never order from this site again.
BUYER BEWARE! I ordered tile samples from tilebar, then ordered a large amount of one of the tiles. The tile sent by tilebar did not even resemble the sample that tilebar had sent to me. Customer service was incredibly rude and unhelpful and refused to speak with me... Only email. I requested a replacement of the tile but tilebar only agreed to take some of the bad tile back, at my expense. Which meant that I would still have to replace all of the floor tile. It didn't pay to ship it back to them because freight was so high for the small amount they were willing to return. Tilebar refused to stand behind the problem. I ended up tearing out the tilebar tile and replaced it with tile from another company. Please note that anything tile bar offers in their response I wish there was an option in this review to include photos. It would be obvious how aggregious the difference is in the sample sent and the tile received.
TileBar customer service has no idea what is going on and makes little effort to find out. I ordered tile 12 days ago and they said it would ship in 3/5 days. I reached out for an update and was notified the tile is out of stock. I had to reach out to find this out. Then they tell me is in in stock but can’t tell me when it’s going to ship. I’m on a tight timeline for the project and now it’s been over 11 days and they continue to tell me it will ship in “3-5 business days”. I’ve worked in distribution before, it’s not that difficult to reach out to your supplier and get a ship date. That’s the point of distribution.
Not the best experience already. We just signed up for the trade program online and I called in to customer service to ask what the next steps were. She told me someone would call me. I asked if I could give them another number to call to ensure we didn't miss the call and she said well they'll email you. I asked again if I could please use a different number and she abruptly told me I could tell them that when they email us. Not an inviting experience at all and makes me wonder what it will be like during the ordering process. Very disappointing because I was really excited to have another option for our clients.
Shocked at how rude the customer service was over the phone! I called in for a simple inquiry to see when my delivery date would be, as we are approaching the provided estimated delivery date and the order still shows as “processing”. I was absolutely shocked at the behavior, tone, and response of the customer service rep on the phone. She even hung up on us before we could ask our follow up question- it was so unprofessional. Thinking about canceling my large kitchen backsplash order and not moving forward with ordering our bath and powder bath tiles, as I am now nervous about doing business with TileBar going forward.
