Lovely stay at Willow

Lovely stay at Willow. Kitchen well equipped and clean. Beds were comfortable, perhaps offer two extra pillows for the main bedroom, so gives people the option to have extra if needed. Overlooking a little Childrens wooden play park, lovely and peaceful part of the park and only a short stroll over the the many facilities and clubhouse. No problem parking and was given a warm check in welcome and little welcome pack of tea/coffee/sugar/small toiletries. Nice little deck area outside and area kept very clean. Short stroll across to the beach and there’s an on site supermarket and local Indian delivery service. Good base to explore Rye, other coastal resorts and Lydd water and go park resort. We have rebooked again.Thank you for a relaxing weekend.

The actual booking process was quite…

The actual booking process was quite good/easy to do, however the caravan we booked had got a broken boiler so we had no heating or hot water in winter. We reported this to the owners/reception, but it needed a gas engineer to fix it, which wasn’t done during our stay. It cost us nearly £200 for the night and we had 2 children with us, who were cold. We weren’t offered an alternative, so had to stay cold. We also couldn’t shower there. I wouldn’t stay again.

The absolute lack of cleanliness

The absolute lack of cleanliness. Walked into the accommodation to be hit in the face with the smell of dog. I understand it’s a pet friendly property but that’s no excuse. The carpet was covered in stains, the sofas threadbare in places. The shower and sink are damaged and unclean. Random screws sticking out of walls. Upon complaining to the hosts I was told this is an “economy” property as if that makes the filth ok? And what part of £180 for one night is economy I’d like to know. Avoid at all costs.

We had a pleasant stay at the holiday…

We had a pleasant stay at the holiday park. Even though its winter, inside the home was really warm. It was clean, cosy and the bonus were two toilets. We could not try the park amenities as they are being refurbished, so check if the pool and arcades are working before booking. The host was quick to respond and the home is well equipped. We can recommend this park and will certainly come back again. Thanks

We booked a caravan on the lake for…

We booked a caravan on the lake for Christmas only to be told not available now by the host so we made another choice paid more money for a lovely van with views of the lake off the road perfect but the day before we get email told there a problem with the heating and we put in another van the van we in is very modern on the Rd no privacy not happy atall a phone call would of been nice we had no choice as our booking was Christmas day and they only emailed Christmas eve not impressed with 1066 very disappointed

AVOID

AVOID. Doubles booked our stay. Given key and arrived at accommodation with another family in there. I was left with my 3 week old baby at night and the company refused to find alternate accommodation. Booking.com were also poor and didn’t get back to me for nearly 3 hrs. I had to find somewhere else to stay. Booking.com did refund me however. 1066 have since embarrassingly tried to blag and say they’d tried to find alternate accommodation then lie about trying to call me. I was so upset and especially in the manner the company literary washed their hands of their responsibility. Nothing even in the follow up. AVOID.
