This website seems to be a toss-up. Personal experience isn't the best as it has been using VERY VERY old papers that the courts will not accept. I'm in north dakota and the self-help courts are MORE than easy to fill out yourself. do not use this site if you live in north dakota as they use papers from 2003 and are MORE THAN overdue of an update as the current papers that the Self-help ND website are the most updated as they are from 2020. you will most likely not get a refund as i sent a help request from their site 7 days ago and the confirmation email says they will respond within 24 hours. Please look at other reviews and see if they list your state and if the papers are updated for that state.

Buyer Beware!I purchased the 3-step divorce contract on 1/05/23.Under Minnesota State Law, I am exercising my right to withdraw from this contract, within 3 business days, effective immediately, 01/07/23.Please issue an immediate refund to my original payment method. Furthermore, if you intend to dispute or already have disputed the transaction in question - Then there is nothing we can do and you must deal with your bank from here on out.I already stated that my refund request is based on Minnesota State Law which allows me to withdraw from a financial contract within 3 days. Edit: was contacted recently to fix my issues and update me. Will update soon.I attempted multiple times to contact the company, and after paying for the filing help as well as the forms, on top of paying the filing fee, have received no information from them in regards to the status of my order. Their phones never answer and they do not respond to emails.

My only regret is waiting so long to use 3StepDivorce. The ease in acquiring the needed documents to file. The ability to skip questions and return to them after I got the correct information was very helpful. And most importantly was the explanation of each question along with why that question was asked and why it might be needed.

Not easy. Find a real lawyer.

So this is basically a glorified to do list. You have to do all the filings and take all your own time. It isn't as straightforward as "1,2,3." I guarantee that's a lawyer who is nearly as affordable who will do everything for you. Plus, if your want your money back you have to prove that you did everything in their check list to get it. If you're willing to go through all the hassles to save yourself $100 and you like going through endless pieces of paperwork that you also have to figure out where to file, then go for it. Otherwise, okay the small extra money for someone who will do it right.
