Review Time
This was my first time doing business with this company.
I placed an order on 9 Jan. My money was taken instantly and on the 15th Jan my items were delivered.
I ordered 2 pairs of MAX Stretch Thermal Skinny Outdoor Trousers, one regular length and one long. The long were way to long so I decided to keep the regular. I have since decided these are a bit too short but I have worn them a few times so obviously will have to keep them. They look good tucked in to a pair of boots. They are extremely warm so they are doing the job that I bought them for.
The quality, mmmnn, well, not great! The amount of bits of blue fluff that I found around the house once I taken them off is something else!
Hopefully, once they have had a wash this will ease, but these trousers are not cheap so I would expect better.
As for the pair of trousers that I returned .... I sent them via the Post Office on 20th Jan. I had confirmation that they were received on 21 Jan. As of the 5th February I was still waiting for my refund. Bearing in mind that they have had my money since 9th Jan. I earn minimum wage and these trousers were £79 per item (in the sale). So Acai basically withheld a whole days take home salary for over one month. I called to chase the refund on the 5th and i received an apology and was told they were a 'day behind' with their refunds/returns as they were busy! As of yesterday there was still no sign of my refund. I was about to call and chase them again but thankfully, I checked my online banking and I could see it was finally refunded. They received the return item on 21 January. It's really not acceptable to with-hold my money for this length of time
These thermal leggings are excellent quality for outdoor hikes. They are warm yet lightweight. I wear a size 14 with narrower hips and a wider waist, and the size 14 fits well. I chose the 7/8 length since I’m only 5’3”, but next time I would opt for the full length. I didn’t realize they needed a tech wash for cleaning, but luckily I have that for my jackets.
Delivery was disappointing. I ordered hats and gloves to match items from an event, but they didn’t arrive as expected due to a system error. I accepted a new delivery date, but nothing arrived. When I called, I was told the items were still being processed and that dispatches don’t happen after noon on Fridays. I just want a refund. If you need it on time, avoid ordering online.
I purchased a quarter zip in a lovely twilight blue color. The material is cozy and the length is great for taller individuals with a dipped hem at the back. My only concern is that the neck opening is quite wide when zipped up, which doesn’t keep the neck warm without a scarf. It’s unfortunate since I intended to wear it on colder days.
Quick delivery, and the high abrasion thermal skinny trousers in size 14 fit well and are comfortable. I've worn them all day for both work and leisure. The thermal feature effectively blocks the wind chill. They wash well and dry quickly, so I’m very pleased and have ordered more.
