I recently had an internal wall treated for rising damp by Advanced Damp. The treatment took 2 days to complete and Sam did a great job. He arrived on both days when he said he would and although I knew it was going to be a messy job, he kept the mess to a minimum, and cleared up really well when he finished the job.The plaster has now dried and it’s a really smooth job. It’s now ready to be decorated.I’m really pleased I went with Advanced Damp to get the rising damp remedied.
Advanced Damp damp-proofed a major room for us very successfully a couple of years ago. Very quick and took great care to protect the rest of the property from mess and cleared up beautifully. Nothing but good things to say about this company. I started with a damp survey because I wasn't sure what kind of damp I had. I ended up having rising damp, as well as penetrating damp. I was able to meet the surveyor, so he walked me through everything and explained the treatments for each, which was great! I decided to move forward which the quote and they discounted the price of the survey, so I was really glad I started with the survey since it became free. The job took a few days, but the contractor Keith was very friendly, so I didn't mind having him in my house. He was respectful and cleaned up after the work was completed. Looks as good as new!!!! Very happy!
Looks like I’ve been unlucky with the service compared with most. Firstly I was doubled booked in, then I had two surveyors turn up at the same time who clearly were put out by this and caused an uncomfortable situation. The surveyor I had was condescending and quite intimidating and made me feel silly for asking questions (I don’t know about damp and buildings, that’s why I have paid for a survey!). It’s been 2 weeks and we have still not received the survey, despite chasing. Won’t be moving forward with them following the survey I’m afraid (if I ever receive it!).
