Placed an online order with A.E TWICE and payment got refused because customer service took upon themselves to cancel my order due to delivery address not matching, well of course it doesn't because I don't live at the store, I chose the pick up in store option which was available as a choice and bank and debit card matched perfectly. A.E. dropped the ball on an order which was close to $200. I wouldn't recommend anyone to shop here due to poor customer service and poor customer appreciation. After all the insult, I get a email saying to give them another try, HA! I spent my money with another company who knows how to treat people. You'll NEVER get my business again!

If there was a 0 star I would’ve given that. I bought three sweater for Christmas for my daughters. Bought them all in a size large. Turns out they fit like a 3X. I had already tore off the tags as they were Christmas gifts, and could not return them. Their return policy and sizing is the absolute worst. NEVER ever buying from there again
Terrible return/exchange policy.My husband bought me some leggings for Christmas and they happen to be to short. Yes, I pulled the tags off but still had them. When I went to EXCHANGE, not even return, with the tags and receipt I was told I was unable since the tags were removed. Now I’m stuck with a $60 pair or legging I can’t wear. Pathetic and disgusting.Will never shop from any of their stores again
My husband bought me a pair of leggings for a birthday present. I cut the tags and proceeded to put them on and realized he had order a short in length by mistake so we mailed them back and bought 2 more at the right size. Yes, I understand they have their policies but the fact that I bought 2 more pairs, had to pay more money to send the return back you would think they would accept the return since I was still a customer of theirs, well not anymore!
The first time I shopped at this store was at a location in the Tampa Mall. The experience was HORRID. I bought items with a 35% discount, and when I went to the register to pay, the cashier was charging me for everything at full price. When I asked if those items were discounted, she said, "THEY'RE NOT DISCOUNTED." I spent over $350 on just a few things. I was sure I had seen signs advertising those items with a 35% discount. When I downloaded the app, I realized I was right. The cashier simply wanted her profit at all costs. After that experience, I started shopping only online, but almost ALWAYS, they send everything separately from one purchase. It's ridiculous. Why do they do that? Every time I contact customer service, they are completely useless. I'm tired of this store's unprofessional behavior.
Same experience as another reviewer, absolutely archaic customer service, they wont return money for bras that are too big and are SHIPPING them back to me and taking refund back, I haven never had anything like this happen and in 2025 can say I havent seen customer service like this in 20 years. Will never buy again.
I placed an online order with Aerie/American Eagle on September 19th. I had no idea they use Door Dash as the shipper. Today is September 29th and it still hasn’t left the facility! Door Dash said it must be because a “Dasher” isn’t in the area. How long am I supposed to wait for a Dasher to decide to show up? American Eagle/Aerie, please stop using Door Dash!
I bought an e-gift card and ultimately the order was cancelled with very little explanation. I chatted with customer service who told me that the order was cancelled because I didn’t provide a shipping address. I explained it was an e-gift so a shipping address was needed and I wasn’t asked for one. At that point she had no idea why it was cancelled albeit would escalate it “due to the nature of the issue”. The whole interaction was silly and disappointing. Customer service should be able to determine why an order was cancelled and/or if there is an issue with my account
