Completed the 8 week BTEC Level 3 in telecommunications course in Newcastle. Really enjoyed it, but be warned...there is a lot of written assessments, if you're not used to writing it'll be a baptism of fire. Arrived with very little telecoms knowledge and left with a deeper understanding, got on well with the tutors Andy, Alex and Simon and im well on my way to securing employment in telecommunications.

Aim to learn - Best telecoms trainer in the Northeast of England

In summary: Aim2Learn appears to be a credible telecom training provider, especially for people looking to re‑train or enter the telecoms sector with minimal upfront cost. Their accreditation, funded courses, and good feedback on teaching are definite strengths. If you are considering enrolling or recommending them, here’s what I’d suggest you check / ask beforehand to avoid disappointment:Do they guarantee or only offer interviews? What kind of support do they provide for job placements after you finish the course? What is the schedule and how long is the course really? Is there flexibility, and are there extra weeks beyond what you expect?Which tutor(s) will you have, and where (which location)? Can you talk to past students from that exact location/tutor to see their experience? What practical skills vs theory balance is there? Is there hands‑on work with real telecom tools, fibre, etc? What are the eligibility criteria and funding details so there are no surprise costs?

Had a great time!

I've just completed the level 3 BTEC in Newcastle and thoroughly enjoyed every second. I got on very well with all the tutors and other students, learnt a lot and I'm already getting assistance to get into a role within the Telecoms field. Andy, Alex and Simon were all terrific, knowledgeable and made the course fun and engaging. I would highly recommend the course and Aim2Learn.

Fantastic course and tutor

Ive just finished my course today. The course was fantastic from start to finish and very educational. The tutor (simon) was probably the best part and extremely supportive and helped me greatly with the course and just mentally due to making the course fun and made me enjoy coming in everyday. I see him as more of a friend then a tutor.

The course its self is ok

The course its self is ok, but when it comes to the interview selection, evolve data is a age discrimination company. I have already contact uc about them.

The course I did was a telecoms course

The course I did was a telecoms course. Thanks to Ben Cole our course was made simple but effective. Interview stage was grand although our course was made hard by a tosser called Rahil.

Scamm Bootcamp SunderlandBased on my experience, Aim2Learn did not deliver what was promised. The training did not lead to any job opportunities, and support stopped after payment. I am disappointed and believe others should be careful before spending their time and money here

Feedback on the NCFE Level 2 - Telecommunications completed in MALIK HOUSE, Manor Road BD1

Initially, I was feeling very positive about the course and it seemed very promising. There was a lot of theory, however it was very helpful and surrounded the work environment as a whole, not just relative to telecoms. After reading compelling promises about job prospects, such as possible earnings of £30,000 to £40,000 and links with a large network of telecom firms, I decided to enrol in Aim2Learn's Level 2 Telecoms BTEC. Even though I put a lot of effort into the course, attending all of the sessions, doing all of the assignments, and remaining dedicated the results haven't lived up to the hype. Even though I have attended the entire course and did everything correctly, I have had trouble finding a job in the industry, even though the program itself covered a lot of helpful content and helped me expand my knowledge. We were also promised a job 4 weeks into the course and after been assured that this would result in excellent professional chances, I feel disappointed because there was little obvious assistance or follow-up after completion. Also what was initially supposed to be an 8 week course changed to 10 weeks with very minimal reason as to why. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of job opportunities that were promised and that are relevant to Fibre telecommunications. All the jobs that have been sent to me many of them are irrelevant to telecommunications.
