I’ve always enjoyed flying with Air France, which is why this experience has been especially disappointing.

My luggage has been missing since an international flight via Paris, and weeks later there is still no resolution. While the customer service agents I’ve spoken to are polite, the process itself feels broken. Every call leads to the same response: “a request has been sent to the airport and we are waiting for an update.” There is no follow-up, no escalation, and no clear action being taken.

What’s most concerning is being told that the search may eventually be stopped.

For an airline with this reputation, the lack of accountability and proactive effort in handling delayed baggage is very disappointing.

I hope Air France reviews how these situations are handled and provides customers with real help when things go wrong.

Terrible airline and worse customer service. Flew to Chile 3 months ago, bought the ticket months ago, Air France told me I was on standby and made me pay Business class to Paris from London, to make sure I would get my connecting flight. There was free seats on the airline and I should have never been advised to pay. Then they lost my luggage throughout a 2 week period in Chile and at no time did any member of Air France contact me regarding whether I had any medical problems or needed any help. They found my luggage last day of my trip, and for the past 3 months I have been trying to get money back for my essentials without any success. I have had a misfortune of dealing with an incompetent, unapologetic, unprofessional person called Arhassi Ottende. I have in various and multiple emails asked him/ her what the formal complaint procedure is and he keeps on ignoring me. Avoid this airline as they have no respect for customers of any class. Make sure you do not book any flights with them if you have any medical problems like diabetic needing insulin, etc as there is no one out there to help you, as they do not care. One of the worst experiences with any airline that i have ever flown with. Never again

I travelled from Atlanta to New Delhi on Feb 7, 2026 and this journey has started with delayed flights, long queue for boarding, and ended up with missing baggage which I get to know arriving Delhi airport.
The worst part is there pathetic customer care support which don't revert to your emails and nor pick up your call.
I would request not to book this airline for your travel

I had a very disappointing experience on flight AF1640. One of the stewardesses, identifiable by her long hair that was dark brown on top and black at the bottom, was extremely rude to me and several other passengers.
Instead of calmly assisting passengers as they were placing their bags in the overhead compartments, she shouted at us to stop and to sit down immediately. Her tone was impatient and bossy, and she repeatedly pointed fingers at passengers while speaking, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional.
Customer service on a flight should help passengers feel comfortable and safe, not stressed attacked.

I have very bad experience with Air France airline. I request everyone choose another airline rather then this. Bad customer service, waste your precious time during luggage check in, they wanna make money during luggage check, all the employees have no manners how to talk with their customers. I told my agent to stop booking for this airline otherwise it put impact on their reputation. Very very very bad air line, money maker only

Disappointing experience with this airline despite its size.

It's quite surprising how poor this airline's service is considering its reputation. I booked flights through the company and was assured my first checked bag would be free both ways. The initial flight to Europe was fine, but my return was operated by another airline. Upon arriving at the airport, I was unexpectedly charged $100 for my checked bag. The customer service representative insisted there was no free bag included, and I was advised to contact the original airline for a refund. Unfortunately, they wouldn't refund me since it wasn't charged by them, leaving me out $100. To add to the frustration, the flight was delayed by 2.5 hours due to maintenance issues, which I understand is necessary for safety. When we finally boarded, there was no clear announcement of boarding groups, causing confusion and delays. The plane itself was pleasant, which is the only reason I’m not giving a lower rating. However, the flight attendants were extremely rude. During dinner service, the attendant on my side kept disappearing for long stretches while others were served. When they finally got to my row, they had run out of pasta and tried to make me eat fish, which I can't due to a past food poisoning incident. Thankfully, someone offered me their pasta, but I was shocked by the treatment. Additionally, a male flight attendant rudely adjusted my sister's seat without her consent, claiming she couldn't recline during dinner, despite the person in front of her reclining without issue. It was quite frustrating and felt unfair. I will be avoiding this airline in the future and will be reaching out to the original airline about my dissatisfaction.

Significant delays and missing baggage experience

The flight from Cape Town was delayed, leading to my connection being booked on two separate flights. I boarded the first flight and confirmed twice with the staff that my bag was on the correct plane, and they assured me it was. Upon arriving at Heathrow, my baggage was missing, and I had no means of contacting anyone for assistance. I typically avoid writing negative reviews, but I strongly advise against using this airline!

Disappointing Experience for Parents Traveling with Infants

I want to share my experience with the service, particularly for those traveling with infants. While I was traveling with my baby, I had completed web check-in ahead of time and was assigned a bassinet seat. At the airport, everything was confirmed once more at the baggage drop — same seat, same boarding pass, no problems. Then came the boarding gate. Just before boarding, the gate agent unexpectedly tore my original boarding pass and handed me a new one without any explanation. It was only after I checked that I saw my seat had been changed to the back of the aircraft, stuck in the middle of a 4-seat row — probably one of the least ideal seats for managing an infant. When I raised my concerns, the staff was entirely unhelpful and showed no remorse. I pointed out that: • I had a confirmed bassinet seat • I was traveling with an infant • There was no communication prior to the boarding pass being torn They were unyielding, lacking any empathy, and treated the situation as though it was standard procedure. To make matters worse, their overall demeanor was dismissive, cold, and frankly humiliating. I can't shake the feeling that there was some bias involved. Whether it was due to my skin color or that bassinet/bulkhead seats were reassigned to others (possibly for paid upgrades), I cannot say — but the handling of the situation was shockingly unprofessional. Traveling with an infant is already taxing. Airlines that promote themselves as “family friendly” should not engage in such tactics at the gate, where passengers are left with no real alternatives. This marks my second negative experience with the service, and after this, I’m finished. If you're traveling with a baby and counting on pre-assigned bassinet seating, do not assume that the service will honor it, even if it appears on your boarding pass. Truly disappointing service. I would not recommend it — especially for families.

Disheartening Experience with the Airline

I am compelled to share my dissatisfaction with my recent encounter with the airline. My journey from Paris to Yaoundé on November 26th was enjoyable, largely due to the assistance of a staff member who was very helpful and professional. Unfortunately, my return journey was quite different. I arrived at the airport ahead of time, equipped with a valid Schengen transit visa, but the staff denied me a boarding pass, stating that my visa did not permit transit in France. This left me shocked and frustrated, especially since I had obtained the visa specifically for this purpose. When I attempted to purchase another ticket, I was informed that the flight had already left and could not be reopened. I observed another passenger being permitted to board after pleading for just a couple of minutes, while I was denied access. The staff member involved was notably unhelpful. This treatment is unacceptable, and I am left questioning whether the airline treats all customers fairly. The excellent service I received earlier highlights that the airline is capable of great customer care, yet my return experience was disappointing. Given this situation, I am uncertain about my future travels with this airline.
