This supplier attempted to block my credit cards, all three of them, claiming they “did not work”. This is a known tactic I’ve seen before with other suppliers in the same area: the card “doesn’t work,” and then they pressure you into purchasing their own insurance.
Creditcarts dont work in the middle of the night in a very special environment...After all i could use my depitcard for 100€ plus... I thought i will get the money back, just didnt understand his english properly...Car was ok and the guy who was driving friendly too but do yourself a favour and don't rent something there...
Arrived at Antalya called the office at 8.40pm to say we have landed got told to ring back once we had luggage when we booked this car hire we chose it because it was advertised as ON AIRPORT…. it clearly wasn’t we called again at 9pm to say we had luggage and where do we go advised to go to stand 112 they would meet us there in 2/3 mins no one came called again at 9.15 then 9.30 kept saying should be there called again at 9.45 saying there had been accident called again at 10pm saying should be there they finally arrived at 10.09pm then got told we have to drive to the office!!! What a joke 22.30 and we still are not on our way waiting in an office to do paperwork don’t believe this company when they tell you it’s ON AIRPORT! service is appalling will never use again…..To update further we arrived into the office after waiting at the airport for over an hour to be told there was an extra £132 insurance to pay my husband declined the insurance as we already have a policy covering our rentals as we also off to Istanbul and renting a car there so it was not require he then said the credit card to pay the security deposit on wasn’t being accepted now we have 4 credit cards all with high limit and zero balance and he told us none of them were working we immediately contacted the bank to be told there is absolutely nothing wrong with the cards he then said if we didn’t want the insurance at an extra £132 then there was nothing he could do and our rental was cancelled it’s now 11pmAnd sat outside a rental office with no transport to our hotel! Having read other reviews about this company it appears when you decline their extra insurance they say their card machine isn’t working for the deposit! Absolute scam artists they should not be allowed to trade! So now we are out of pocket having to order a taxi to our hotel absolutely ruined my son’s birthday!
We were made to wait for pick up for over 30 minutes. When the driver came he tried to get us and another party to share a car to the car collection point but we refused as did the other party. When we finally made it to the office we were met with hostility. They first tried to scam us into buying their insurance by claiming my card had declined without even asking for the PIN. When I insisted they try another card the same thing happeend again. Without asking for PIN the card was declined. They tried to sell me the insurance but I advised them I was fully insured as I had taken full insurance from VIP cars. I then said i am not interested in any insurance and I will contact my bank to find out why card was declined. Surprisingly he tried again. This time asking me to enter my PIN and wow!! It worked!!! I was then taken to the car which was already pretty bashed up. The twilight was broken, there were bumps and scratches all over the car. My son instantly made a video of the whole car ensuring the agent was also on the video handing over the keys. This really did put a damper on the start of the holiday. Avoid Allmeet if possible and dont fall for their scam!!
