Review Time
Our group travels to Jasna every year, and in previous years we arranged equipment rentals through Alpy without major issues. Unfortunately, this year’s experience (20 February) was completely unacceptable.
In order to maximize our short trip, we left Budapest before dawn specifically to gain an extra ski day. That is why we arrived at the assigned shop already at 8:30 in the morning, expecting an efficient pickup process.
Instead, there was only one employee handling dozens of people from our group. The process was chaotic and extremely slow. Communication in English was very limited, and customers were spoken to aggressively regarding boot sizes. When equipment did not fit, the response was frustration rather than assistance.
After waiting for hours, at around 12:00 I was told there was still no equipment available for me and that I would need to wait another 45 minutes. The employee then left for a cigarette break. I finally received my equipment at approximately 13:00 — nearly five hours after arrival.
As a result, I arrived late to a private ski lesson I had paid for and effectively lost almost an entire ski day out of a 2.5-day trip. The ski pass for that day was largely wasted. The equipment itself was also in poor condition and did not meet reasonable expectations.
Many members of our group experienced similar delays and treatment. When we raised the issue, responsibility was redirected to the local shop, despite the fact that booking and payment were made through Alpy.
As a returning group that visits Jasna every year, this experience will strongly influence our future booking decisions.
Easy booking, great service.
It but took af while before the booking was confirmed- almost 36 hours- so we where a little worried.
But great service at the shop (sport Matt 2000,Pettneu) and perfect equipment and online savings.

Did the whole process and including weight, shoe size sli experience and ordered the one under top set of skis for advanced skiers. The shop staff were amazing but advised I had not booked boots? The skis i was issued were ok but not what I expected. My boots were at least 5 seasons old. The Alpy website was completely misleading.
