An expensive item delivered that should have been signed for and wasn’t.Item could have been damaged when dropping through the letter box Your proof was a photo of the item half way through the letter box, which could have been retrieved by the driver, just poor.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Depots have no clue what's going on and you just get fobbed off with excuses. I genuinely cannot remember the last time a company managed to derail an entire couple of days the way they did. The drivers fail to show up anywhere near the delivery time slot and the schedule they provide is complete rubbish, that has zero connection to when or even if they actually deliver. The terrible service doesn't stop there. After speaking with customer service i was re-assured it would 100% be delivered by close of business the next day (day 3). This morning I ended up speaking with TIM, and I honestly walked away more annoyed than when I started. He had no idea that my parcel was definitely being delivered today. His attitude was flat out unhelpful, dismissive and completely uninterested in solving the problem. It was like talking to brick wall. After already wasting 2 days waiting for a delivery that never appeared, being faced with this topped it all off.
Sorry there isn’t a zero star option. Placed a next day delivery order with Laithwaites Wine 4 weeks ago. Was informed that it was out for delivery on the allotted day but it failed to arrive and failed to arrive for a further 3 days. I cancelled the order as I was going on holiday and rearranged delivery for this Monday. Got a message saying it would be delivered on that day but NO delivery and now third day with no delivery and no information. I tried to arrange collection from the delivery depot and have been given an earliest pick-up date of 29/12/25!!! Absolutely unbelievably atrocious .
