I recently bought a refurbished fridge from Appliances Direct. Delivery was quick and everything seemed straightforward at first.

Unfortunately the fridge turned out to be faulty. Instead of cooling, it was heating. I contacted Appliances Direct the day after delivery and got through on the phone quite quickly. The agent was very polite, even in the face of my irritation.

Initially I was told I would need to go through Beko for a warranty repair, which I didn’t think was acceptable given it was only one day old and my contract was with Appliances Direct to supply a working product.

After I explained this, the adviser escalated it. I was then offered three options, repair, replacement or refund. I wasn’t confident about repair timescales or whether it would fully resolve the issue, and I didn’t want a refund, I just needed a working fridge, so I chose a replacement.

The call was made on Saturday and the replacement arrived on Tuesday. At first that felt slightly frustrating, but realistically it was dispatched on the first working day and delivered the next working day. We’ve probably all become used to next day everything.

The delivery drivers removed the faulty fridge and brought the replacement into the kitchen. They’re not paid to install it, which was fine. They also called 30 minutes beforehand, which was helpful.

In the end it was handled properly once escalated. Refurbished appliances do carry some risk and I accept that. The price was very good value and I would buy from Appliances Direct again.

Easy to order.
Gremlin got into the works for delivery day, problem resolved quickly and efficiently by Appliances Direct and courier. Dryer easy to set up and works very well - doing the job it was intended for!

I recently ordered from Appliances Direct and I just wanted to share how impressed I am so far.

The delivery process was smooth, well-organised, and arrived exactly as expected, which already gave me a great first impression.

What really stood out to me was the customer service. From the moment I placed my order, the communication was clear, helpful, and professional. Any questions I had were handled quickly and with genuine care, which is not always easy to find these days.
I haven’t even opened the box yet, but based on the delivery experience and the level of customer service alone, I’m already very pleased. It’s reassuring to deal with a company that values its customers and makes the whole process feel easy and reliable.

Definitely a positive experience so far, and I would happily recommend Appliances Direct based on this.

Unfortunately despite a great call handler scheduling in the delivery of my appliance to a first floor flat, the day after I ordered it, the delivery man advised he was not made aware of this and required help to bring the old unit out and new one up (we had paid to recycle to old product). I was fortunate that my partner hadn't left for work yet, so was able to assist, but this made him late for work as a result.

Was ordered as an emergency replacement as advertised as next day delivery and also charged for a next day delivery, 3 days later and still not delivered. This has caused multiple problems for us and loss of revenue.
Very disappointed.

I ordered a bath, a freestanding tap and a basin tap from this company. I received them on the day they said they would deliver, but the bath was damaged. Not only that but the freestanding tap had parts missing and there was no basin tap. I called customer service, who were no help whatsoever, simply telling me to upload a photo. I couldn’t, because you could only upload a photo to your account, and their system didn’t recognise my email address, despite this being the email address they correspond with me. They said that I could upload to WhatsApp and call back in a couple of hours (according to Mary). I uploaded the images, desperate for them to resend the items so that they were here for the plumber. I called back and spoke to Marie, 2.5 hours later, she said, after putting me on hold, that they had not received the WhatsApp images…. Strange, because WhatsApp said they had been delivered. Marie also told me that Mary was lying, and that it will take 24 hours for them to get back as they have a lot of calls about damaged goods…. Probably says a lot about the quality of their goods and their couriers. Shocking customer service, in fact a shocking service. Be mindful that this company trades under several names. Avoid, as it seems that if you want you order intact with all the parts and undamaged, this is not the company for you.

Now I guess I have to wait for an agonising 24 hours for them to tell me that the bath is damaged, the tap is missing parts and there’s no basin tap….. other companies would sort it out quickly, usually within hours and have replacement despatched on the same day. Does Appliance Direct think that we all live at their pace?

It’s 9am the following day and I get a text asking me to confirm the order number and SKU number. As they have all of this information, this appears a weak attempt to delay and torment. I suppose I’ll have to wait a further 24hours for that information to filter through. I noticed that a person from Appliances Direct has copied and pasted their usual rubbish of how sorry they are. Well, if you are truly sorry do something about it…..

Undeliverable, Lesley from Appliances Direct has offered me compensation of £40. So s/he thinks that I want to instal a damaged bath and part of a tap with no spout. Well, I told them I want a replacement. This order was for over £500.

I have called customer service a few times, and I have received a collection of mistruths. They say they will collect and deliver on Monday, and they say that they are only going to collect on Monday. It’s endless torment with this company,

I have reordered the bath and tap and paid a premium to get it delivered tomorrow, so at the moment this experience has cost me over £1000. Hopefully the bath will not be damaged, but if it is I get to leave a trustpilot review on Better Bathrooms, this company’s sister company. Unfortunately they are the only company that does this specific bath. Avoid them at all costs.
