Review Time
That sounds incredibly frustrating. When a company collects your personal data (phone and email) in exchange for a promised discount and then hides behind "unseen stipulations," it is a major red flag.
Here is a strong draft for your post, formatted for maximum impact on social media or review sites like Trustpilot or the Better Business Bureau.
WARNING: Deceptive "Bait and Switch" Practices at Ash & Erie
I am writing this to warn potential customers about the deceptive marketing and abysmal customer service at Ash & Erie. If you value transparency and honest business practices, take your money elsewhere.
The False Promise
While ordering a jacket (MSRP $258, on sale for $193.50), a popup window appeared promising an additional 20% discount in exchange for my mobile phone number and email address. The popup was clear: there were no restrictions or "fine print" stating that certain items were excluded. I handed over my data, but once the order was finalized, they refused to apply the discount.
Ignoring Direct Instructions
I contacted their customer service immediately—not once, but twice—asking them to honor the promised price. I explicitly told them: "If you do not honor the discount, please do not ship the jacket".
Instead of resolving the issue, they:
Shipped the item anyway, directly violating my request.
Claimed the coupon had a "stipulation" that was never disclosed in the original popup.
Refused to reconsider their position, simply stating they would not honor the coupon.
Cowardly Customer Support
When I asked for a phone call to resolve this "Bait and Switch" fraud, they claimed they "don't have a customer service number". In an era where every employee has a phone, refusing to speak to a customer is a pathetic excuse to avoid accountability.
The Bottom Line
Ash & Erie is happy to take your data and your money, but they have zero interest in honoring their word or providing actual support. This is classic BAIT AND SWITCH FRAUD.
Save yourself the headache: DO NOT BUY FROM ASH & ERIE.

Ordered two shirts (Order 355204). They came with sleeves that were too long. 31" instead of the ordered 32". Since they were just marginally long, I figured I'd keep them. However, after a quick cold wash and hang dry, the sleeves shrunk an additional 1-1.5 inches. Totally unusable! After reading all the negative reviews, which I should have done before ordering, I have decided to give the ridiculously expensive shirts to the Salvation Army rather than try for a refund, which folks do not seem to be receiving. If Ash & Erie read this, and want to correct this problem with refund OR exchange, I will be happy to hear from them and will submit a responding review with honest complements.
Bought a crewneck. The material felt slightly weird but I liked the color so I decided to keep it. After washing it one time and following their instructions, wash in cold water and hang dry, it’s permanently wrinkled. Tried dryer on low and that made the wrinkling slightly better but the sweatshirt now looks like it’s been sitting in the bottom of the hamper for a week or two. The other items that I ordered I returned without issue. So this review is based solely on the horrible quality of their sweatshirts/crewnecks. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
Their clothes are generally good, and fit better than most off the rack clothes. I had a pair of pants rip at the middle of the cr*tch on me after about a year, but otherwise no complaints for this somewhat pricey brand quality-wise.The biggest issue I have is that for reasons beyond me, they are constantly out of stock for size smalls. A store geared towards shorter men... can't seem to get me smalls. Crazy! They are missing out on a lot of money by never having what I want. I am 5'5" and slim, so a brand like Ash & Erie should theoretically be a clear go-to for me. Unfortunately, I rarely can find what I want in stock.
It’s been a few weeks since I posted my review on this company. I was awaiting the refund of the two shirts that I sent back, unopened and in the original packaging, because the size was wrong. Nothing yet. Do not buy from this company as they are totally not trustworthy. And their prices are far too high. A good idea, but they blew it.
Jeans came right away! He tried them on they fit & was the right length. Took them on vacation wore them to dinner & concert & his ass started to droop the sides got bigger & bigger, they were gathering around his ankles & the button would not stay closed!!!! I washed them & had to iron them …. they were SO wrinkled! He hates them & said send them back!! Well, $102.00 jeans & they will not accept returns that have been worn! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I never had such a problem, LLbean gives you 1 yr to return, Walmart will take anything back etc etc. it’s a lot of money they are keeping!! Check out eBay….they have pages & pages of their pants for sale at 18.00 , guess we aren’t the only ones taken for a ride!
Well, this was a total bust. Being in Detroit, I thought this is great, this clothing retailer is on Washington Boulevard and how nice is it to have a downtown business? I can go shopping in the city and so, drove to downtown Detroit found the building, had to go through security to get up to their space, once there I learned that this is not a retail space that is simply their offices and they are e-commerce exclusively. One of the workers offered to show me some samples of their clothing and he hauled out a garment rack loaded with a couple piles of clothing and some white metal hangers is completely bent out of shape with clothing strewn upon them, honestly, it looked like a cheap resale shop. I was very eager to purchase a few pairs of shorts a few pairs of pants and some shirts, but I walked out empty-handed and frustrated. They lost a potential customer. No second chance. Rotten experience.
First, the company mailed my shirt to an incorrect address and subsequently stated that I provided the incorrect address. They said that only this one time would they re-send it to my correct address. Today, the shirt arrived, sized XS. I ordered a size Medium. This is a terrible company. I wasted my money. This company should not be in business.
