Frustrating Experience with Communication and Service

Initially, they requested pictures of the vehicle, which I provided. After that, there was no follow-up until much later when they asked for a driver's abstract from Quebec. Subsequently, I received a letter stating they would cancel my insurance after I had emailed the requested abstract. During the holiday season, they informed me I had a week to obtain an additional driver's abstract from another province, or my rates would increase. When I communicated that I couldn't meet the deadline and requested a rate adjustment, they claimed the registration process had taken too long due to their poor communication. Ultimately, they decided to cancel my policy just two days before it was set to end. Overall, the service was disappointing, characterized by misinformation and ineffective communication, making the entire registration process unnecessarily lengthy. If it were possible, I would rate them negatively.

If you're looking for an insurance that will refuse to provide coverage when someone damages your vehicle without police contact, then this is the one for you. They will attempt to deny your claim citing "underwriting" issues, even if you provide a police case number.

Disappointed After Many Years with This Service

After more than 15 years with this service, I have decided to cancel my home and auto policies. I have been waiting over 8 months for home repairs following the March 2025 ice storm in Ontario, and there is still no resolution. I've dealt with multiple adjusters and managers, and reaching customer service has been frustrating. There is no clear complaint resolution process or way to contact an Ombudsman. My calls and emails have gone unanswered. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. Avoid being lured in by group discounts. There is a complete lack of accountability and minimal options for customers to escalate their concerns—they simply do not care. You have lost a loyal customer, and I would never recommend this service to anyone. Customers should not have to struggle so hard to get repairs done under their policy.

Frustrating Experience with the Insurance Process

I just finished a phone call attempting to secure insurance with this service, and it was incredibly frustrating. I receive a discount through my workplace, but the representative demanded excessive information about the company, despite having it on his screen. He even insisted on knowing the parent company. After finally understanding his request and providing the name, it still wasn't enough. I mentioned the title on my paycheck, but that didn't satisfy him either. I ultimately told the representative that I had lost all interest in proceeding with this service. His response was simply, 'Ok bye.' This experience was entirely unhelpful and left me feeling quite disappointed, especially since this is the option for my corporate rate.

Frustrating experience with support

I recently had a phone call trying to obtain insurance with this service, and it was quite a hassle. I receive a discount through my workplace, but the representative asked for excessive information about the company, even though it was visible on his screen. I eventually understood what he wanted and provided the necessary name, but it still wasn't enough. I mentioned the title on my paycheck, yet that did not resolve the issue either. I informed the assistant that I had lost all interest and received a dismissive response. This service was incredibly difficult to deal with and caused me a lot of frustration.

Awful support experience

The customer service here is terrible. I attempted to update our insurance online to accommodate a new vehicle, but the system instructed me to call. When I did, two different representatives claimed they couldn't access my account and directed me back online. They also couldn't provide information on how much it would cost to cancel my account. This insurer is truly disappointing.

Less than satisfactory service

This service deserves less than one star. It took over a month to process a simple application due to inefficiencies. It seems they have little interest in assisting customers. I can only imagine how long it would take to handle a claim. Very poor customer service.

Inaccurate driving app

I drove at the speed limit in an 80 km/h zone and received only 1 out of 3 badges. The app indicated I was riskier than other drivers. This misleading information could potentially lead to increased rates. I logged out of the app and wouldn't recommend using it; it feels deceptive.

Insurance cancellation without notice

The service canceled my insurance without any prior warning, and I received no email or phone call regarding it. When I tried to rectify the situation, they gave me the runaround about needing paperwork, which I was only informed of after calling. I had been a customer for three years, and prior to that, I had been with the company they acquired for 12 years. The customer service was the worst, and when I requested to speak to a manager, they refused, citing company policy. I was able to complete my insurance with another provider in about 25 minutes.
