Great, innovative CC, however, customer service is practically non-existent. They rely on AI chatbots. If you need to speak to a real person, there is no way to get someone on the phone. They claim they get real agents on the chat messenger, but it has been almost an hour of waiting in queue (as I type this), but still nothing.
The reason for reaching out is because they transferred the wrong amount to the "new account" after dropping Wells Fargo. After reading a bunch of reviews on here, seems like the same goes for a lot of other angry customers.

Also, they're very unclear about how to get bonuses. They told me if I used my card at a certain restaurant, I would receive 6X the points. When I noticed I only received 3X, they told me it was because I didn't use it on the first of the month "RENT DAY." I looked and looked and no where does it say that I need to use it on the 1st of the month to receive 6X. They apologized for the misunderstanding. I was only able to receive 6X the points after I threatened to get my lawyer involved. They're sneaky and near scammer territory.

While I was excited to give Bilt 2 Palladium card a try, it’s been extremely disappointing experience and one issue after another. One would hope that Bilt would ensure that product is ready before it’s rolled out.
Aside from activation and transaction view issues, the latest is that all Bilt credit card payments made through Bilt are held for 5 days before they post even though the funds are deducted from the checking account the same day. Which means Bilt receives the funds and is utilizing them but doesn’t credit the account for almost a week.

While I can understand that there maybe a 24 hour processing time same as other financial institutions, the fact that Bilt holds customers funds for their own use for 5 days before posting is simply unacceptable.

Since changing their cards its gone down the toilet. I dont get my rent points anymore. Customer service absolutely sucks. If you get a secondary card for lets say your partner they make that person have to join Bilt even though Im the primary card holder. No other credit card forces you to do that. Im done. Stay away from this card. I will be cancelling mine tomorrow

We could not process your rent payment of $1,498.38 because your card was either unlinked or it has expired. Please update your card details in your Bilt account and resubmit your payment to ensure it's processed on time.

1. I used a linked checking acct, not a card
2. The only way to chat with support is iMessage which is ridiculous bc not everyone uses Apple devices. I don't use iMessage.
3. I updated payment info again, but they dont even automatically retry the payment. I had to wait until the transaction was rejected by the payment portal.
4. I ended up with not only a returned check charge from my apartment, but also a late fee. All together, I lost nearly $200 in fees trying to use this service.

I've used the platform successfully in the past so there was no reason for any of this. I'm telling whoever will listen that Bilt is unreliable and can leave you to shoulder the fees when THEIR tool doesn't work.

Complete disappointment. Point values feel meaningless.

Complete disappointment. The point values offered are arbitrary and provide little to no benefit. It’s more of a hassle than a reward. I wish I could simply return to using the usual payment method in my building's portal.

Rent payment failed

I followed the instructions to authorize my rent payment using the provided account and routing numbers. However, the payment failed when my portal attempted to process it. Now I'm facing a $75 fee, and I can't make online rent payments anymore, forcing me to use cashier's checks instead. The rewards aren't worth the trouble. I canceled my card immediately.

Unclear system change led to fees and frustration

I had been using the service to pay rent automatically for over a year. Without notice, the payment system changed, requiring users to re-enter banking details. I followed the steps, but they failed to mention a new authorization step. My rent payment didn’t go through, resulting in late fees, and now my landlord no longer trusts electronic payments, forcing me to use cashier's checks. Customer support was automated and unhelpful. Even after providing proof, they refused to reimburse the fees. This issue stemmed from the service's system failure and lack of clear communication, not user error. If you depend on this service for rent payments, be cautious: a silent update could make you “late” through no fault of your own. I've reported them to the appropriate agencies.

Difficult to view charges

It seems they are intentionally making it hard to read charges. The information appears in a small window, showing only some charges at a time, making it difficult to verify accuracy. When trying to view more charges on the app, it doesn't work, so I have to use the website. I can only see past payment amounts, not previous charges, which is frustrating.

Terrible customer service experience

This is the worst customer service I've ever encountered. My rent amount changed, so I updated it in the app, but two checks were sent out. I stopped the old one, and now the new payment wasn't sent. It took forever to reach an agent who seemed clueless. I spent 45 minutes in chat, and they couldn't provide instructions on how to resolve the issue. They don't even have a real phone number for quick resolutions and rely on overseas representatives. I would never recommend this service.
