★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing experience – lack of transparency and after-sales support
I purchased my Porsche Taycan through Elias at Blakedown Car Company. During the sales process I was sent photos of age-related marks, which were acceptable. I specifically asked about alloy condition and outstanding recalls and was told the alloys had been refurbished and that all recalls would be completed.
I agreed a price using my own finance, for which Blakedown charged an additional fee.
On collection I arrived early but was rushed off site due to the next customer. Before I had even set up my phone or radio I was asked to move the car. At that point a 12V battery low warning appeared and remained after driving. Shortly after, the car began to steam up and I discovered there was no heating at all.
The car also had not been charged as agreed, meaning I had to stop on my journey home to charge and then request reimbursement from the dealership.
When I contacted Blakedown about the battery and heating, they wanted the car returned under their in-house warranty, however this involved cutting open the battery and voiding the Porsche warranty. Under pressure I reluctantly accepted £1,000 contribution instead.
After contacting Porsche directly, I discovered there was an active recall on the heating system, which could not be completed until January, despite me collecting the car in December.
I am now also in dispute over the alloys, having been told the previous refurbishment was poor and they cannot be properly re-cut. Blakedown suggested a painted finish instead of diamond cut, which is not how the car was sold. I was also told the car had never had paintwork, yet lacquer peel on the charging flap suggests otherwise. I am still awaiting the V5.
There was plenty of contact and positivity up until payment, but once completed communication dropped significantly. Very little of what was agreed had actually been done, and resolving issues has been made unnecessarily difficult.
Overall this has been a stressful and disappointing experience. I would not recommend Blakedown Car Company. I have photos and supporting documentation from Porsche if required.

Initially very nervous buying a car online and having it delivered relying only on video and images!Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The whole process was smooth, the guys I dealt with Elias and Pete were professional, courteous and extremely helpful with my many questions. The car is stunning, if I pick it up on anything it would be a stone chip above a door which has been touched in with paint but that didn’t stop me giving 5 stars.Reasonably priced and in exceptional condition compared to the shockers I viewed at a couple of Mini dealerships!!Had a couple of issues with an additional alarm system but the guys couldn’t have been more helpful.Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, they have great detailers….. it was prepped and presented immaculately, thanks so much!!
So recently purchased a vehicle from Blakedown car company. Agreed a PX price for my vehicle subject to seeing it and after checking the price didn't change, so that was good.Few issues after picking the car up in regards to bodywork IE the rear bumper has had a bump at some point and the spray job isn't great, and also the bumper isn't attached correctly.Something you are not told and 1 to watch out for is your log book. 2 weeks down the line and i still haven't received mine. Normal turn round time from the DVLA is 5 working days when completed online (which it was). However they do not process your new log book with DVLA until a week after your purchase (company policy) which you don't get told. I only found this out when i phone to find out where it was.
Audi Q7 !!!!!! STAY AWAY NOW BACK FOR SALEOn wednesday 21st of august i traveled from south wales to blakedown to collect my audi Q7 described on the website and by the sales representative Ben as"immaculate condition inside and out" On arrival i met the sales representative Ben when i say met it was more of a he took my log book whilst the mechanic took my car jumped in with dirty uniform on and sped off and i was left in the middle of the car park with two children.I wasn't even shown to my vehicle that i had "purchased" i found this in the car park and proceeded to take a look around myself to my utter shock and disbelief that the car was in no shape or form immaculate condition. The side steps were worn with rubber hanging of there were dents and a scratches all over the car (i understand this is an older car however one of the worst condition cars i have ever come across) The cills all inside the car were all ripped and torn and the interior was dirty. On inspection to the back of the vehicle (which was parked up against the showroom tight i'm guessing to hide the damage especially me being female and that i wouldn't look) there was damage to the bumper to the point it needed a new bumper and complete re spray i was disappointed that i was not told the truth on how the car actually was. When ben came to query how everything was i stated the car was an absolutely shambles and showed him the damage to where he stated he never knew it was there as he never even looked at the car. Now this is quiet worrying due tothis person being the sale representative who actually sold us the car. I also stated that he was more interested in my vehicle and inspecting it for PX that maybe they should spend more time looking at the vehicles they actually sell. When i asked where my vehicle was ben stated it was "up on a ramp" as that's what the "inspection" was i had no idea that this was the case never told and never give my permission not that i had anything to hide but a low performance car i did notgive my authority to take and put up on a ramp without my permission ormyself been visible, i asked ben to get the car down immediately to where he "thought he had told me".On contact with the director via email we were offered a £50 gesture of good will. When we contacted Ben the sales rep to state there was damage on our car which was not there before the director then sent us an email to retract that offer and to not contact again due to us threatening with "burning the place down" when we challenged this and asked for proof we received no response. This company will leave a sour taste in yourmouth they will waste your time and waste yourmoney and it was clear to me that they bodge vehicles rather than giving it the fix that it needs- ultimately this Q7 is getting a patch fix which in time the new owner will have to suffer the cost. This company is a shambles avoid at all costs i have left comments on facebook and their instagram page with this review all to where they have been blocked and deleted. STAY AWAY we are nowleft with a damage vehicle due to their negligence
sold a car to these guys and the whole process was incredibly easy, a real pleasure to deal with. The driver Steve turned up promptly and was very professional, highly recommended.I will certainly be checking your stock next time i'm looking to buy.
