A Stay Full of Issues

I stayed here for three nights, from December 26 to 29, and the experience was far from acceptable. On the first night, the radiator in my room was completely cold, and the staff's assistance was ineffective, leaving me without heat and unable to sleep. On December 27, I was moved to another room but was too tired to check everything thoroughly. By December 28, the room hadn’t been cleaned at all, and I found urine stains on the bedsheets. When I reported this, the staff instructed me to go to the storage area myself to get clean sheets and change the bed. This is shocking and entirely unacceptable for any accommodation. By around 11 p.m. that night, I had no choice but to find another hotel and leave immediately. This place is not appropriate for guests, as basic hygiene, heating, and service standards were clearly not upheld. I strongly advise against staying here.

Hygiene Claims Fall Short

The host claims to prioritize hygiene, but I found the apartment to be below basic cleanliness standards: visible scale on the black faucet, hair (not mine) in the shower corner, and stained kitchen cupboard doors. Even though I paid for early check-in, I expected a spotless apartment upon arrival. Additionally, there's no larger shelf for personal items, so a hanging toiletry bag might be necessary. It felt like I stayed in an overpriced place that falsely markets itself as modern and luxurious. I won't be returning; this was my first and last visit.

A Terrible Choice

If you think this is a good, budget-friendly option in Oslo, be warned: even if it were free, it would still be overpriced. Upon arrival, the building had a noticeable smell, likely due to nearby restaurants storing ingredients. One evening, I saw restaurant staff dragging a trolley of raw chicken through our building, contributing to the odor. The apartment was uncomfortably warm and filled with flies; my wife killed five in the shower on the first morning. The air conditioning was ineffective, and the customer service suggested opening the windows, which only let in more flies. The bedding was subpar, with no fitted sheets and a thin mattress topper, leading to poor sleep. The door to our room creaked loudly, disturbing us at night. As for the advertised free gym, it was a 20-minute walk away, and the conditions were dreadful. The luggage storage area felt unsafe with its creepy, cage-like setup. Although the door issue was fixed promptly, it was just one of many problems. If I could give zero stars, I would. Please avoid this place; consider a hotel or hostel instead.

A Frustrating Experience

My stay was deeply disappointing. Instead of enjoying my holiday, I spent my time reporting serious issues that were ignored. The lack of basic service and attention to guest needs was unacceptable. A major concern was the lack of a lock on the room door from the inside, allowing the cleaning crew to enter without permission. The room was never cleaned despite my complaints about a dirty floor. The toilet roll holder was broken, and the room felt unprepared with a non-functioning camera and missing items. The advertised amenities were either nonexistent or inadequate, and customer service was abysmal, with no direct contact with a manager. Noise from deliveries and hotel renovations disrupted my stay. I cannot recommend this hotel; the experience was unprofessional and unsafe. To make matters worse, when I followed up on my feedback, I received an email offering a discount in exchange for deleting my review. Disheartening.

Unsafe and Unacceptable

This review pertains to a location in Oslo. Despite the low price, we overlooked issues like a moldy shower and a broken refrigerator. However, my partner and I encountered a serious safety issue when we caught someone filming us from another room in the hotel. We called the police, but they could only remove him without arresting him. After this incident, we felt unsafe in our room and informed the hotel that we would seek other accommodation, requesting a refund for the remaining nights. Instead, they only offered a refund for the night of the incident, showing no accountability for the situation. They made it difficult for us to leave, clearly prioritizing their finances over guest safety. I want everyone to know about this experience and the kind of establishment they are running. Please do not stay here; your safety is not a priority.

Unexpected Invoice Surprise

I had a pleasant stay and even booked again. However, I received an invoice two months later for something I didn't order and was unaware of beforehand. It felt like blackmail: pay or I couldn't stay again. This experience ruined my next visit. I advise avoiding this hotel.

Outstanding Experience and Service

I just returned from a three-night stay and can't praise the experience enough. The accommodation was excellent at a reasonable price, just a 15-20 minute walk or a quick tram ride from the central station. They addressed every need with outstanding communication.

Disappointing Stay at Bob W Hotel

We recently stayed at this hotel in London as a group of four, and our experience was disappointing. One couple in our group had a room with severe plumbing issues that made sleeping impossible due to the noise. We contacted the hotel multiple times, but they offered no real help, telling us there was nothing they could do. It’s concerning that a hotel can't assist guests properly when issues arise. We were also promised an adapter upon arrival but had to wait four days and make 12 calls to finally receive it. The hotel refunded 50% for the unusable room, which we found inadequate. Overall, I can only recommend this hotel if you're willing to gamble on whether your issues will be resolved.

Beware of Construction Noise

I want to warn others about major construction work happening next to this hotel. This was not mentioned on their website before or after booking. The work starts at 7:30 a.m. and shakes the walls, making it impossible to sleep. While I understand this isn't the hotel's fault, they should have informed guests about it before accepting payment. I will not be booking again.
