Review Time
I visited the Guys at their workshop to for a pre arranged appointment to get a Boot liner fitted professionally.I was was met by Christel who discussed with me me exact requirements including, bumper protector, rubber boot matting and the style of pet protection carpet that I preferred.Anthony was then introduced to me and he spent the next couple of hours making everything I requested the from the various sheets of material’s needed.Very happy with the finished product, well done.
After being a loyal customer with my last three cars and my other half with her last two, Boot buddy staff led me to believe that if I deleted my last negative review they would happily provide me a refund for the versa liner I bought that didn't fit. I deleted it, more fool me! I did it because the girl on the phone said they were a family company and couldn't afford negative reviews.I bought a versa liner, carbo guard and bumper guard for a brand new Cupra Leon. I checked it out before I bought my car and ordered all my boot buddy stuff straight away. Nothing fitted. Despite the website clearly stating that the products covered my car and I checked the year and model numerous times, so I didn't have to cut the versa liner down like I did last time. They called me when I'd left my previous review and I told them I'd unwrapped some of the stuff, couldn't use the versa liner at all because it was for a low boot setting and I have a plug in battery in mine and because it was unwrapped i didn't feel they would accept responsibility. I couldn't even shut the boot it was that far out, remember this bit. They accepted fault and told me I could return the versa liner for a refund. I said I'd keep the rest if they provided the sundries I needed to hide the alterations to the carbo guard. After a false start I managed to send back the versa liner and today I received an email saying it had been received without the plastic wrap and it was used. Remember it didn't fit in the boot of my car so how could it be used? The dogs never set foot in it. They said because it was their fault as a goodwill gesture they would refund 80% of the cost. So 80% of that item and nothing else sent so I could try to make use of the money I'd spent and cut down the carbo guard. I even explained that I didn't seek a refund initially because I thought they'd blame me and I didn't want the hassle, which dear reader, is exactly what I got. I've even had to block them to stop them replying because their contact is now unwanted.I really would think twice about buying from them, unless you're 110% sure the item will fit. The customer service left a lot to be desired and I'm over £300 out of pocket. Who can afford to lose that sort of money? I can't. I've learnt my lesson, the exclusions in their terms and conditions are what they always fall back on including last time where I was told I didn't check and even though none of this is my fault this time, it still feels like it is. People need to read my experience so at least they are forewarned. I did have positive experiences in the past but this is as far from positive as is possible to get. 19.01.26 So, let's deal with the reply. My words were.... "I take it you'll want me to remove the review in exchange for what you say you will do" that is what they wanted but that isn't what they did. Note that nothing was said about the parts they failed to send but promised they would. That was the premise on which I kept items otherwise the lot would have come back. The customer service was absolutely dire. It was condescending and exactly what I got last time and the reason I did not engage initially. If you want repeat business, don't blame others for your own errors. I've had it twice in a row. Last time I tried to engage and regretted it. This time I wish I had never taken the unsolicited phone call you made to me full of empty promises. Regarding condition, that versa liner sat in my house for weeks because I couldn't get it in the car, think about that. My house must be incredibly muddy (which it wasn't). The only contact it had with the ground was with the pavement when I tried to fit it. Try again. And this time, be honest! You've not kept your promises exactly as I expected. More unwanted contact too!
The boot guard was ok but not of sufficient quality for the price. The bedding wasn't worth the price and appeared to have been cut off a roll. The edges weren't bound at all which may result in fraying. The guard would be better delivered flat rather than rolled. The express delivery charge is excessive and there is a 20 pound charge to collect
Excellent design maximising driver visibility and containment for the rear of the vehicle.Well thought out fittings which are quick to attach and detach with no requirement for drilling or cutting of the vehicle’s interior.Prompt delivery and perfect fit.
