We visited for a Sunday lunch with family; it was a bit crowded, but the staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. One team member was exceptionally attentive and friendly, while another kept the kids laughing with jokes during each visit to our table. The food was incredible, served in generous portions, and they were accommodating with our requests. We didn't have room for dessert this time, nearly had to be rolled out the door! The chefs were busy, so we didn't want to interrupt to ask for names, but we truly appreciate the wonderful meal.

After a bit of a wait to be seated, we were shown to a table. We hadn’t booked, and it was a match day, so we didn't expect much, but they were happy to accommodate us, which we appreciated. The service started slowly, but once our drinks and food orders were taken, things picked up. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the coffee was excellent as well. The staff were polite and checked in on us to ensure everything was fine. We will definitely return next time we're in the area.
Our visit was quite disappointing with several issues to mention. We ordered three roasts and another meal, but extras for the fourth meal were out of stock, and we had to ask for a refund, feeling awkward in doing so. All three roasts were cold except for the meat and came with minimal vegetables. When we inquired about the missing seasoned greens, we were told that was all that came with them, which was untrue as other tables had greens. After pointing this out, the server took a long time to return with a bowl of vegetables, still without the greens. We ended up just eating the meat and the bowl of vegetables provided. Paying £18-20 per roast for this was unacceptable, and the service was nearly as poor. I would advise avoiding this place.
We waited half an hour for our food, only to find out our order hadn't been processed. Our table of seven reordered our meals and received a complimentary round of drinks. Everyone was polite and apologetic. However, the women's restroom was problematic; many locks were broken, one tap was out of order, and one hand dryer wasn't functioning. On a second trip, one member got locked inside and had to kick the door open. The food, however, was amazing!
The atmosphere and decor were lovely, creating a homey feel, and it’s dog-friendly. However, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. The steak, priced at £23, was like a thin minute steak. My Buddha bowl was lacking, with hardly any hummus and limp salad. The kids' meal was let down by an inedible piece of garlic bread that seemed microwaved. The fish batter was thick and soggy. I had hoped for a great meal based on the website's illustrations, but this was substandard compared to other places we've visited. Our mid-week meal cost over £120, including drinks and dessert. On a positive note, the gluten-free sticky toffee pudding was delicious, as was the cheesecake and ice cream. It felt awkward to complain since our server was lovely. Unfortunately, I won't return for a meal, but it’s a nice spot for drinks and snacks.
My pregnant daughter found a large bone in her chicken sandwich. When my husband brought it to a staff member, all she could say was 'sorry,' and no one checked on my daughter. I believe she deserved a more personal apology. The establishment could also use a thorough cleaning as some areas appeared dirty and sticky. I won’t be returning.
