We are on the onboarding faze and nightmare doesn't begin to describe it. Sales said one thing and onboarding says another. We are a brand-new company, and they had us ask the previous property management company to hold the funds that should be going into our account for operations. Make that make sense. I have had the property/tenant/owner sheet done and sent in on 1/29/2026. We haven't started the onboarding process yet because they didn't have the sheet. In the sales meetings I was like I can get behind this company. I know the platform is clunky compared to AppFolio, but I will figure it out. BIG MISTAKE WAS MADE. Pay more for something better best advice. No one is on the same page at Buildium. HAHA get this we are paying them monthly to do nothing right now.
We are closely connected to a company that has used Buildium for 20 years and they have recommended the software to many of companies. They are thinking of changing and I guaranty if nothing changes, we are too.

Account Frozen Without Notice

My account was frozen in February 2025 due to a request for proof of being a 'business in good standing.' I never received any emails notifying me about this requirement. After waiting for 45 minutes on a call in December 2025, I learned the reason for the freeze. I submitted the necessary form on December 23, but as of January 14, 2026, my account remains frozen. UPDATE: As of January 15, my account is still not unfrozen!

Consistently impressive service

We've partnered with the service for over 5 years, and I'm continually impressed by the quality of service. Their products are user-friendly, and customer support is outstanding. I also appreciate our Customer Success Manager. They maintain their high standards even beyond the onboarding phase, and I'm excited to see how they evolve with our business.

Frustrating experience with misrepresentation

The experience with this service has been disappointing from the start. The salesperson misrepresented what the system could do. During onboarding, it became evident that many claims were untrue. The process was disorganized, with unanswered questions and missed timelines. Customer support was unresponsive, making it a frustrating waste of time and resources. I would advise seeking alternatives for commercial property management.

Ongoing support issues

Support has been terrible. I've faced an ongoing issue for two months, unable to process application fees. I've spent around 10 hours on calls, and commitments for callbacks have gone unfulfilled. They attempted to close my ticket without resolution. The one call I received from a supervisor was unhelpful. I'm now considering other software options due to these complications.

Unethical billing practices

I downgraded my subscription but was charged for inspection services I never requested. It took a month to receive a credit for the charge, and I was charged again upon renewal. Their customer service is slow to respond and ineffective. Cancelling my subscription has been a hassle, and I wouldn't recommend this service.

This company has been deceitful and my experience has been negative. There is a lack of support, inaccurate billing, and inconsistent information from staff. I find them untrustworthy and their services overpriced.
