Review Time
It’s been more than 8 weeks and no sight of the reformer (with tower). I contacted the company and being told it is already in the UK customs. Yeah, right. No proof of that. No updates whatsoever. But the worst is I was send an email by god knows who (not the company itself) to organise a fork lift so that it can be unloaded!!!! I’m literally speechless and totally shocked. I’m buying this machine to keep in shape whilst living with/fighting a very rare cancer. When in shock I emailed the company to tell them about this email (which by the way resembled a scam) and ask if it was a bad joke, I was told I just needed 3-4 friends to unload it. I am in total disbelief. Who do they use as couriers? Is this even legal to ask a customer to unload from a lorry. I’m now terrified and this is causing me stress. So much money (over £1700) at risk. If I don’t have anyone (live on my own) I won’t be able to accept the delivery. What a total disaster.
Ordered in October, never arrived. Company won't provide traceable shipping details, fobbing me off with generic shipment details that can't be traced. Avoid. Company refusing to give me a refund. 😭 Also just fyi it's Not a US Company, owned and run by a Hong kong company. I placed my order in October and payment was taken in full at that time. I was told my reformer would be delivered by 27th December, but I have received nothing and have had no communication. Despite sending several emails requesting an update, I have not received any response and do not know where my order is.This was a significant investment for me as I am in the process of starting a small business. After reading other reviews where customers are reporting similar experiences and stating that they believe this company may be a scam, I am now very concerned. I really need someone from the company to get in touch with me to provide an update or resolve this situation.
First of all, I do think you need to have a reasonably good idea of how to use a reformer before embarking on self practice. I’ve been going to classes at least twice a week for 15 months. When I placed my order I was more than a little worried as at that point there were no UK reviews online anywhere. I used my Amex to make sure I was covered in case the website was a scam as the price of the reformers here are more than reasonable. I need not have feared as my reformer arrived in just over 3 weeks. It was very well packaged in a massive crate pallet so do be aware of this if your door opens out directly onto a pavement. It’s not a package that you can take straight inside so if this is your situation you may need to make arrangements to have it delivered somewhere with a bit of space. Communication could be a bit better once the order was placed as apart from the receipt from Shopify you receive nothing and the tracking just says processing for ages. A email from the actual company confirming your order and giving a delivery expectation would alleviate a lot of worry. I ordered a folding reformer as I want to be able to close for daily storage and the ease of this process is very good and it doesn’t put me off getting into my workouts. There is a tiny nick in the cover on the box but it’s on the underside so I’ve just put a drop of glue in it to stop any spread. It’s so small it’s not worth getting it replaced but the description on the website of the fabric being ‘soft, buttery leather’ is incorrect. In is not leather at all, it is matt finish PVC or something similar so this was disappointing. Regarding the foot strap, I’ve been totally unable to work out how it’s meant to be attached and despite receiving an emailed instruction manual this still is unresolved.However, I’ve had my reformer almost a month now and in terms of its operation I’m more than satisfied. The platform has a very smooth action, the springs are of sound quality and everything is well put together. The folding mechanism works very well and makes the weight very manageable. All in all, I would buy this again if I needed too. It’s excellent value for money and compares easily with much more expensive alternatives and I’ve worked out, based on prices at the gym I was going to, that if I use it 4 times a week it’ll be paid for by Christmas and all my sessions will be free from there on in! Hooray!
