Champion went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They brought their sales manager from Memphis to St. Louis to finalize our contract. The installation experience was the best ever. Our installation team was from Kentucky. These were Champion installers and it showed. Flawless installation including the cleanup after. We couldn't be happier with our new sliding door.
I have had 6 different companies come out and give me estimates on getting 16 total windows and 1 door replaced for my house. They are way too pushy and their gimmicks to offer sales and 1 time deals is outrageous. There windows that we had them price out were just like the other companies since we wanted to give every company a fair shot at earning our business so it was comparing apples to apples for everyone. They started at $35,000 as the quote and when he saw the looks on our faces he knew it was an outrageous price. Then he said that he would contact his sales manager to see if we could get a better deal. So he called him and put us on speaker phone and he offered us a discount to bring it down to $17,500. This right away let us know that they are marking this up a lot and that they are probably getting away with this to a lot of people whom are not during their due diligence and pricing out their project with multiple companies. So we said that we needed to think about it and can we get back to them tomorrow. THE SALES MANAGER SAID NO THIS DEAL IS ONLY GOOD RIGHT NOW IF WE SIGN THE PAPERS. This was the dumbest thing that I had ever head of and I work in sales and know the game but this was extreme and pushy. Go ahead and have them come out and give you an estimate on windows but don't schedule them 1st schedule them last and then you will be able to see the difference. Every other company gave us pricing and there was no pushy sign now or that pricing is going away.Please beware and do your homework. We all know windows are a big project and aren't cheap but beware of this company or at least know what your getting into before they come out to your house.
We had a package set up for our owners with this business in 2018 so that any screened in porch additions were uniform. This year, we can't seem to get any responses. Have tried the main line, email, Division manager, etc. Unsure why you wouldn't want us to bring you a steady flow of clients?We will be looking elsewhere for continued, loyal business.
They don't deserve even 1 star but this site won't let me give zero.We had hail damage to our home and had to have the siding replaced on 2 sides of our house.Champion came out on 8/30 and gave us a quote we signed a contract and they took and a deposit. Deposit was promptly cashed. We tried calling the salesmen several times to follow up, but never received a response. Someone else finally called and came out on 9/12 to take remeasurements. I hadn't heard anything by 9/23 so called to get my install date.....after a run around, we were told that they put the job on hold because they can not do the job for the price quoted and needed over $2,000 more. I emailed the CEO of Champion Todd Dickson who just had someone call me back to say that its thier right and in the fine print on the contract states that they can cancel at any time.Very shady business practice. Not to mention wasting a month of time that I could have spent having a reputable company do the job.
I love the new windows, they're definitely very high quality. The installation team was pleasant, professional and fast. The initial sales visit is long and drawn out with a shocking first price in an attempt to make the 'real' price seem more reasonable. These windows and this company are very expensive, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. With that in mind I feel like we received good value for the high cost.
