I was a past customer of Champion windows about 24 years ago. The windows were solid and worked easily. Through the years there was one window that developed an issue and when I called to report that issue a service tech was promptly sent out who replaced the compromised area and I was not billed as within warranty. Fast forward to about 2007 I was in a new home and chose a different window co as I was looking to match a particular wood grain that at the time champion did not have. The windows were all replaced by this other company and within a few years I had a compromised window. When I called into this second window co they did not honor their warranty but instead redirected me how to close and lock said bowed out window. I immediately knew Champion was truly the co that stood strong behind their warranty. Today I am ordering from Champion all new windows for a new home. My factory rep Chris Trewhella was outstanding, explained everything to me and worked diligently to offer me a great deal. I have great respect for Chris as he went miles beyond what I expected to receive and I feel so peaceful with my choice of returning to the Champion fold. Give Champion a chance, you won’t be disappointed and if Chris is your rep, consider yourself even more fortunate.

In our journey to find quality window replacements for our 75 year old home, we scheduled an appointment with Champion Windows. This appointment was one of a few window companies we explored. Logan, was right on time and offered his presentation, with props, including the savings and benefits of their Energy Star* product. This offered us the information we needed to make a solid decision. We appreciate that Champion makes their own windows in addition to having Champion employees as the installers. We were affirmed that Logan would be our "point person" before, during and after the installation. We felt the price point was reasonable and look forward to the installation in a few weeks.
In May a rep came out to do an estimate. We liked the price but told the rep it would be Aug before we wanted the job done. Was assured this was not an issue and paid the 30% deposit. On July 8th got a phone call saying the crew was headed out to do measurements, which were not suppose to be done until August. I told the crew not to come out I had not made the appointment. They told me they would tell the office and I would get a call from someone. Two hours later no call so I called them. Was transferred to the project manager. He was rude and did not understand what I was upset about. I told him I had not made the appointment and he said he put it in. The problem is when they come out for the measurements you have to pay the next 30% of the job. I told him I would not have the money until the end of the month and he got an attitude about it. Demanded that i tell him when to come out for the measurements. I told him I did not want him near the place and wanted to cancel the project. No work was done, no parts ordered, the measurements had not even been taken. I asked for the deposit or part of the deposit back and company refused. Said they did not have to give back the deposit because I signed a contract. This proves they use the contract as a weapon. not as protection. I could understand not returning it if they had expenses to cover for the job but there was no expense, They even admitted as much and said they would not return any of the money because they did not have to. If they use the contract like this, how are they going to use it to get out of warranty work or other issues. I would rather lose the 30% I spent (a little over $2700) than be out the entire $9000 plus job.
Richard Vargas was very informative and timely. Explained and demonstrated Champion window construction and functions. Made us aware of current discounts available and encouraged us to be ware of future discounts. Reviewed warranty and lifetime support on issues that may arrise. Very professional.
