"I had a really disappointing experience at the West Edmonton Chatters salon. I specifically asked the front desk if they had an elite stylist available, and when they didn't, I was offered Sarah. I asked about her level and was told she was an 'intermediate' stylist, and that she was highly requested. I hesitantly agreed, trusting this information.
I explained I wanted a dual-style color, and we settled on highlights and lowlights, with an agreement for more highlights. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found my hair was significantly darker, with far more lowlights than highlights – essentially the opposite of what we discussed. My husband even asked if I'd "only gotten a curl."
I later looked up Sarah online and discovered she is actually an apprentice, not an intermediate stylist as I was told. I understand everyone needs to learn, but being misled about a stylist's experience level is unacceptable, especially for a coloring service. This lack of transparency and the poor result has left me really unhappy with my hair and my visit. I wish I had known the truth before I sat down in the chair."
Franc Gole was amazing! He made sure to double check the length I wanted (I hate when they cut too short!!) and he was very upbeat and genuinely cares about his job. He gave me tips on how to properly dry my curly hair and what products work best with it. Highly recommend!
My hair stylist was amazing. I went in to have highlights and she gave me what I exactly requested. The place is also clean and organized. Chatters Hair Salon will definitely be my go-to salon from now on.
If I could give negative stars I would. The hairdresser completely ruined my hairstyle. I asked for a trim for my armpit length hair and left with hair above my collarbones. It is choppy and missing random chunks, with my hair framing pieces being uneven and unsymmetrical. I requested that the hair stylist maintain the v shaped haircut I had with the same ratio. My hair was 3 inches longer on the longest piece than the middle lengths, and shorter framing pieces than the middle lengths. Instead she cut all of my hair off and choppily made a tiny v shape that just reads as a home job. I requested a refund nearly 5 business days ago and they are ignoring all of my communications. They are poorly equipped to handle a simple trim and are highly unprofessional in dealing with the aftermath. No one I know will ever go to this salon.
I usually stick to my regular style, but I decided to mix things up and was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out. My hairdresser called it 'a bit ambitious' at first, but I'm glad I took the plunge. The service was excellent and reasonably priced.
Each visit with my spouse is met with exceptional service! The stylists are skilled, friendly, and attentive to what you want. We've tried both traditional and unique hairstyles before, and they always come out fantastic. This is our preferred place.
Extremely disappointing experience with customer service. I paid $150 for a root touch-up that turned out poorly. When I returned for a correction, it ended up looking even worse, and they refused to fix it again or provide a refund. Consequently, I had to spend $350 elsewhere to get it corrected. This isn’t the first or second time I’ve faced issues at this location. I would strongly advise against it! I also overheard another customer expressing dissatisfaction about a stylist mishandling her daughter's hair… the service here is unacceptable. They need better stylists or a manager who can support their customers.
I received a gift card to a local salon and wanted to treat myself to a fresh new hairstyle. I booked an appointment at the last minute and was lucky to have Stephanie attend to me. It had been two years since my last hair highlighting. I allowed Stephanie to choose the color, and she picked Gold Shimmer, which turned out to be absolutely perfect. Her vibrant personality, expertise with products, and skill in her craft made the entire experience fantastic. I’ve finally found a new hairstylist!
I recently had my eyebrows done at the salon, and the technician was fantastic! She was meticulous, gentle, and professional. My brows have never looked better! I'm genuinely impressed with her skills. If you're looking for someone talented who prioritizes your comfort, I highly recommend booking an appointment with her. She truly excels at her craft!
