Ken of china highlights was very informative with a great depth of knowledge. He brought us to the sites we asked for and suggested more. We learned a lot on this trip about the history, culture and people. Ken also introduced to the incredible food in the area, avoiding the tourist traps and letting us truly experience the genuine local cuisine. We loved our trip and only wished we had more room for the incredible food
We used China Highlights to help with planning our trip to China, Leeky was our assigned advisor. We told her the cities we wanted to go to and what our interests were and she curated an amazing experience based on our budget. She arranged all of our transportation, accommodations, activities, and set us up with great tour guides (shout out to Alan and Chase, and an unexpected friend Flora!!). I am very thankful for Leeky and our guides for such a memorable trip!
This was our third time using China highlights and they never disappoint! Roger planned a great two days in Xiamen area. Adam had a skillful way of explaining the history of Xiamen’s and Tianluokeng Tulou Clusters and Ancient Taxia Village. He was a great storyteller and added personal stories to make our trip very entertaining. Don’t miss out on a visit to Xiamen! It’s well worth the time!
Just completed the last part of our China trip, in Shanghai. We were very impressed by this financial powerhouse city and its amazing speed of development and modernization in the past 30 years. Our guide Shelley was a true gem and we were extremely lucky to have her as our guide. She is a native of Shanghai, with in depth knowledge of the history and culture of this city. In fact, she is an instructor at the Shanghai Institute of Tourism and teaches students aspiring to be tour guides! She was incredibly attentive and accommodating, and even stayed very late for us to finish watching a show, just to help us catch a taxi back to the hotel (even though we released her for the night prior to the show). Highly recommendejd. Make sure to ask for Shelley!!
Great organization when visiting China. We have had great tours with Crystal and Nina for Xian and Beijing. Everything was well organized and gave us flexibility when the weather wasn’t great.Highly recommended - great people and a good way to experience China!
We had the most wonderful experience with our amazing tour guide Winnie!!!! She is a true local Xi’an whose family is rich in history here! Her outgoing, bubbly and happy personality makes touring Xi’an so much fun and enjoyable! Winnie truly makes you fall in love with Xi’an with her passion for her city and is soooo knowledgeable! We actually watched the Netflix Terracotta Warriors show 2 days after we left Xi’an and the facts they shared were just the same as Winnie’s!! She treated us like family and we truly love her!
Another fuss-free and enjoyable trip organised by China Highlights. Shanghai was bustling with life and Hangzhou was steep in history. Our guides Sean (Shanghai) and Susan (Hangzhou) were attentive and knowledgeable. Looking forward to the next!
Thank you China Highlights for the free Yangtze River Cruise tickets!The trip is amazing, the scenery is spectacular, food is fantastic, and the crew took care of our needs. Special mention to Mr Roger who tailored the perfect itinerary for us, we enjoy our excursions to Dazu Carvings and Three Natural Bridge very much before the cruise.Driver is polite and knows the local scene well.
