A simple-to-use and fuss free agency. Quick to response to queries. Equally fast to make sure customer's needs are taken care of.Used the agency for my families' year end holidays to China (Beijing - Da Tong - Xi'an) and asked for bilingual guides so that while trying to give the kids a setting for cultural immersion, the guide can still communicate in english when neccesary. Everything was pretty much fuss free (from determining itinerary, to accommodations and even to getting good and recommendations to fill up our spare days). Whilst the service is not the cheapest, given the responsiveness, quality and absolute peace of the mind, its worth it. Will use the agency again!
We had a wonderful time with Jessie, our guide. We actually covered a lot of ground in 2 days! We started in the morning and headed to the forbidden city, the temple of heavens visited a Hutong and finished the day at Tianemen square. Jessie explained the history and cultural context of everything to us. She knows all shortcuts and good angles for pictures. We started really early on the second day to beat the crowds for the Great Wall of China. After that we went to the summer palace. Everything was beautifully organized! Highly recommend
We went on a 5D4N trip to Henan province in Sep/Oct 2025 by China Highlights covering Luoyang, Dengfeng/Shaolin, Yun Tai Mountain and Kaifeng. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and are truly fascinated by the sights & spectacular views of the scenic spots visited. 2 of our favourites include the Hongshi (Red Stone) Gorge and old Luoyang city with all the ancient buildings & architecture. Best of all, we have an excellent tour guide, Lisa who has a strong command of the English language and was able to explain everything we need to know at each scenic spot concisely & clearly. She gave us a very good picture not only of the sights visited but also Henan province as a whole, from the cultural, historical, social & even economic aspects which we really appreciate. And to top it off, Lisa is a great photographer & took many nice, sharp and vibrant pictures of us from different angles that brought about the best outcome. This truly delighted us. The driver too was great - safe, skillful & very patient & efficient. Thank you China Highlights & the team for the great experience we've had.
We are experienced travelers who enjoy private guided tours. We found China Highlights extremely flexible and responsive (we worked with Carol Wang) during the planning stage as we modified their itinerary to suit our preferences. Once in country, the arrangements and pickups were seamless and all of our guides( we had seven) and drivers were professional and wanted to give us the best introduction to their locales as possible. They all were responsive to our requests when they added to or changed the itinerary on the fly. I am highly confident recommending China Highlights if their locations appeal to you and you want a curated experience.
Our group of 4 were on a 5D4N private tour to the Henan province with China Highlights. Our guide Lisa was fantastic and very knowledgeable. She explained the background and history of the places we visited throughout our tour. She also helped us take lots of photos. Our driver was professional and ensured a safe journey. The entire team were friendly, helpful, well organised and efficient. We truly enjoyed our entire trip and a memorable experience for us.
Our group of 13 did a oneday private tour to Longmen Grottoes & Shaolin Temple with China Highlights. Our guide was Lisa. Her English is good and she was very knowledgeable about the places we visited. It was forecast as a rainy day n she thoughtfully prepared raincoats for us, along with umbrellas Our group thoroughly enjoyed the day
The one day tour of Shanghai was tailored exactly to our needs. Our guide, Wing explained each of the sites very well and was quick to adapt to our requests. She was particularly careful about our comfort and safety and made the day very enjoyable.
The team at China Highlights was phenomenal in supporting all the logistics of our trip. Our coordinating travel agent, May was responsive and detailed in her organization of our logistical needs. Our tour guides Ann and Sally, were both welcoming, informative, and attentive to our needs. They made our trip stress-free, comfortable, and memorable for the family. I wish we had more time with them! We highly recommend this company to others and would most definitely use their services again in the future!
