Short Term Finance.Once again I turned to Close Brothers Motor Finance to purchase my new to me Fiat 500 to tow on the rear of my Motor Home. A spur of the moment purchase too good to be missed. Dealer contacted Close Brothers I was taking car in six hours this is my Fourth possibly Fifth Purchase over Past Four Years with the Benefit and it is a Benefit of no penalty for early Settlement so 5* for me yet again and alas this time only five months but I will be back for future Finance on my next vehicle 👍
ABSOLUTELY VILE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!I was with this company for 3 years to cover my car insurance and never had an issue… until now. After my insurance renewed I recieved a text message asking for some documents stating a ‘photocard’ and ‘driving licence summary’ which I have no idea what that is so I googled it and did it on the DVLA website. I did this about 4 times and it just kept saying invalid information although i thoroughly checked it and it was not incorrect. I sent a photo of my driving license front and back onto their portal and left it as that. I then recieved the same message 7 days later saying ‘URGENT ACTION’ and the same documents were wanted so I sent the same again but put in the comments I was unsure on what a driving license summary is. They then continue to threaten me and sent me a letter stating they had cancelled my policy because I failed to provide the corrcet documents. I found this absolutely disgusting all because I was unsure on what they were asking of me and when I try to contact their number there is never anybody answering the phone. My last payment to them went out after the letter was received and I assumed that that was that and sorted out a new company to cover my insurance. I have now received an email from close brothers claiming I have missed a payment which I am very confused about as they cancelled my policy so why should I owe them more money?! I emailed customer services and they dont reply for another 72 hours and it was completely not helpful. I have now received yet another letter saying the same thing and there will be an extra charge of £20 as I failed to pay which is absolutely disgraceful as I dont owe any more money. I also had a reply from my email saying the same thing that I owe £94 and my account is still ‘active’. I am very stressed with this situation and I strongly advise not using this company to anyone!
What part of subpar customer service didn’t you understand. You people are so ill-advised. How about you ring me, on the basis that the customer service team are non existent. I’m convinced nobody in the office speaks to each other, so you ring me my number will be on your system. We can definitely have a chat. Let’s see if you come through.
