My life has been hell since Clydebuilt…

My life has been hell since Clydebuilt installed new windows. The noise from outside sounds the same as when my old windows were open. I can no longer sit in my living room due to the noise. I have phoned and emailed Clydebuilt but nothing is done. AVOID this company.

Clydebuilt grazing

I am really pleased with the way this company dealt with the process of installing our windows. I was told it would take 2 days which it did. Firstly Tam & Jamie installed the windows and couldn’t fault them, they are a credit to the company.I’ve dealt with Kayleigh, Catherine and June and all have been very friendly and efficient. Also Wullie who came out on the Friday to check all was ok.Friday we hand storm Amy and we thought this will tell us how the windows were and they withstood that storm. So all good. Received my guarantee and receipt.

HELP TO BUY CON

Was told this through the help to buy windows scheme. At first everything seemed fine. Sales guys came out, think one was Michael but he was just shadowing the other guy who was doing the main pitch. Was given the usual chat. After bring informed it would only be an hour, it turned into 3. Decided to go with them, did it so we would pay up monthly and told credit checks were fine, so we paid the admin fee of £399. Only for me to then get an email saying credit checks hadn't gone through which is strange cause husband's credit is high. Then told oh it'll be refunded tomorrow. That was 23rd September last year, numerous emails and excuses from them from people off sick to problems with the accounting team. Finally got refunded in November last year. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

The one window was never fitted…

The one window was never fitted correctly, there was yellow foam left everywhere which has stained the white frame, they did say they would replace it the fuss involved with that was ridiculous. The window was very tight and the catch not working properly so someone came to loosen it. Now it leaks - every time it rains I have rain water in the house. An engineer was meant to come this morning to fix the issue but hasn't turned up. I've called Clydebuilt and been told they don't know where he is and then they hung up the phone. They are expecting me to take another day off work to accommodate their lack of organisation and ability.Avoid!Edit - engineer turned up late - I had to cancel a work appointment as he was still here when it was due to start. He left saying nothing - not surprised as he has put a hole in the plasterboard - right next to the one the fitters put in - matching holes from Clydebuilt!!

Thank you to Clydebuilt windows and doors for a job very well done and a great service from start to

I have read some of the negative reviews of this company , and while in the beginning , after reading them I was worried mainly as sinsiffer from serious health issues as well as anxiety , so reading bad reviews did worry me . That being said , some or the reviews leaving negative comments have been from people who had their products installed in some cases for 5 or more years , and didn't mention that you are able to register your windows and doors with the warranty company . My experience however being truthfully honest here , has been very positive from the word go. From the first sales visit , who the gentleman helped me out as I was struggling financially, and could not afford the full admin fee, he fixed that issue for me but also kindly inspected windows that are now over 20 years old , eg my living room where traffic noise draughts and fines from the road mean I use my small living room at the back , but that salesman, explained the issues , and although i was only able to initially afford doors , has meant I still have remaining grant funds , he kindly kept this open for the coming three years and I have requested he return to price up a new front window , next was the surveyors , they both spent a long time measuring , re measuring and. Measuring again, working out the best way to do the job as I am the victim of local cowboy builders who 5 years ago did such bad work it's left me with over £5500 of required remedial work , however Clydebuilt's surveyors ( I needed a second visit as they'd studied photos of my front door frame , initially the top light was to be replaced with the door but they spotted the mains power cable to the fuse board and meter, so they sent the surveyor again . And once again he took his time , Andi had raised concerns after a local builder inspected by back door frame and door fitted by the bad builders and explained it was amazing it hadn't totally fallen apart , this has meant that for the last few years during heavy rain my kitchen has flooded destroying my flooring . So the surveyor, didn double duty and again checked and double checked the back door frame opening and size to ensure the perfect fit , I cannot praise them highly enough, they took many photos and as I say spent a long time ensuring that when on the day of installation it would go smoothly. A far cry from those cowboy builders that have caused so much damage and stress for me , clydebuilt have understood I had certain welfare needs and have helped me every single step of the way . With even the senior manager taking time to call me after some concerts I had . His reassurance was genuine and helped a lot . On the day of installation, their two workmen had travelled right down to where I live which is in a very remote corner of southwest Scotland, the peninsula of land between Kirkcudbright and the mull of Galloway, and just above the isle of man ( I mention this as to show how far those guys had to come to do the job, they did get held up en route by traffic, but again. Clydebuilt office and those guys kept me informed, if when they'd arrive . Their names were Charlie and James. And again I cannot praise them enough, thsornguys had travelled around 4 hours to get to me , they did not even take a break or even a cup of tea or coffee , the whole time they answered any questions I had about what they were doing , but seeing their workmanship was like watching magician's work , i think it was Charlie who did my back door and as he dismantled the old frame done by cowboys, he too was shocked by the terrible workmanship and proved how the water got in, he gave me time to take detailed photos so now I can finally claim. But he. Reassured me , that his work would be the cure for all the water. Now next to the frame allmmy. Walls are made from exposed stone as well as the door opening , yet he was able to trace the line of these stones onto a large floppy piece of pvc needed to make it water tight , he only had a small work bench and floppy saw , yet he cut that pvc litterly inch perfect , and he did so with the rest of the fitting , I have never seen such good and dedicated men working so hard to help me after such a previous bad experience. And the gentleman doing the front door also worked just as hard z where again the cowboys had damaged my old front door letting in water and mice and dirt. Again his workmanship was again inch perfect . The man at the back as well had to lift the door by himself , no mean fear but he did not complain, even though I saw it was a struggle, again he made many adjustments making sure the door opens smoothly and shuts and locks correctly.. same for the front door . Now I don't always give such detailed praise easily . but this praise is well deserved. They cleaned up afterwards, as well . They made sure I knew how to use the doors . as for Clydebuilt ,I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you clydebuilt for a job well done.

They did not communicate clearly about the necessary documents i need to get my building warrants for any work needed l despite cjasing thise repeatedly . Am in a protected area where this is required and windows coudl be asked tk be removed otherwise . Been chasing them for over 3 months now to get the actual job booked in with 0 luck of a call back . My trust hence is 0 in this company and potentially have to go through the court route to get my money back very very unhappy stay clear

Sales guy was round for over an hour…

Sales guy was round for over an hour and a half telling me they were they the best windows I could get, changed the price three times! Phoned his boss and £2000 for two windows was the best price but only if I agreed there and then. Paid the deposit but changed my mind next day and it was an absolute nightmare trying to get the refund back. Phone calls back and forth with people telling me different days. Have eventually got the money back but would not bother with them at all. Have had 5 quotes since then and all have been cheaper
