Replacing windows for the first time was pretty daunting but everyone at Clydebuilt made things very quick and easy. The whole process from consultation to install only took about three weeks. The windows themselves are extremely high-quality. We are really impressed and highly recommend!
Great company, did all they promised, Agreement signed 27th Nov , windows installed on 11th Dec .Great workmen , very tidy and professional, courteous, and it was nice to have workmen who did not swear .worked from the minute they arrived and did not stop till windows were in .i can’t recommend them enough.they took me round all the window to see I was happy before they signed off .Would highly recommend this company Can’t say enough about them . Thursday evening,just popped back on to say I had to turn down our heating,as it was too hot ,what a difference already
We got quote for new windows and french doors, the price was very good so (my own fault) signed up to get them fitted next year, this was on a saturday.Monday morning a surveyor arrived with no prior knowledge or any contact however he done the survey but after reading reviews online we decided not to go ahead with the windows and doors.I had paid £399 'admin fee' so requested this refunded and was told by Stuart this wasn't possible. I advised them the contract I signed stated that all monies paid within 7 days are refunded however they are simply unwilling to return my 'admin fee' and his tone changed from friendly and helpful to a little bit aggressive, this quickly changed back when i informed him this call was being recorded. The matter will be taken further.
Stephen made me feel so at ease, was extremely friendly and very thorough in explaining the whole process. My new windows have made an incredible difference in time for winter and the quality and fit is excellent. Everything was very professional and straightforward from start to finish. Cannot thank him enough!
Windows were installed in May. Untidy work with mess left behind. One window pane had to be replaced which took no less than 5 months! Ive been waiting since May for white PVC hinge covers to be posted... despite numerous phonecalls they still have not arrived! Dreadful!My advice is steer clear - the service is awful.
Absolutely Appalling – Avoid This Company at All CostsClydebuilt is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. A clear warranty issue has been ignored for over a year, despite multiple emails, calls, an inspection, and even a formal final notice. They simply do not respond, do not follow up, and do not honour their own warranty.Their customer service is non-existent, and their aftercare is shocking. I have now escalated the case to Consumer Advice Scotland and Trading Standards, and a Small Claims Court action will be the next step because the company refuses to take responsibility.If you value your time, money, or sanity, do not go anywhere near this company.
Carry out your own due diligence!Placed an order Aug 25, decided the next day to cancel the order. It has taken until Nov 25 to get my money back.Initially my emails and calls I sent to cancel the order received automated emails and answer machine responses telling me their systems are down.Even after following the correct cancellation procedures, and waiting the 21 days as per their terms and conditions, I received no money back. Then the emails, calls and text messages began. Ultimately they will blame you and lie to you in the hope you go away. At the same time they will apologise to you and tell you it is in the hands of their financial team.No amount of emails I sent or calls I made had any effect on them reimbursing my money.Contacted my bank and Trading Standards in order to get my money back. It was the bank that final resolved the issue.Below is the list of reasons they gave as to why my money wasn’t refunded.Issues with my bank.Issues with their bank.A high degree of sickness.Staff on annual leave.In the hands of their financial team.
Worst company I have ever dealt with. They want your cash and then are not interested in any problems with your poorly fitted windows. I’ve been calling and emailing for 5 weeks and keep getting promised that somebody will call back. Needless to say it never happens. Avoid this company at all costs.
