Incredibly deceptive interest rate practices horrible customer service. Arhaus should be ashamed for using them as their financing partner. PREDATORY - BE CAREFUL DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM.
I closed my account, believing I had settled everything. However, I received a minimum interest charge of 3.00 on a zero balance. When I contacted the support team, they explained that my payment, made by the due date, didn't cover the interest, which resulted in a remaining balance. I questioned why the account balance reflected an amount if it didn't include all charges. After finally reaching a representative, they insisted I had to pay the fee and showed little concern for my frustration over the unexpected charge. The source of the interest remained unclear. Overall, I advise against doing business with this service; their customer support is lacking, their website is difficult to navigate, and their automated responses are unhelpful. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
Appalling customer support. I made a genuine error on my second payment with the service. I attempted to make the payment on the due date, but was informed that the cutoff was 5:00 EST. Being in CST, that meant an hour earlier for me. I had no idea since, like many, I overlooked that detail in the fine print. I called for assistance to process my payment today to avoid a late fee, but they refused, stating it would post tomorrow and I'd incur a $30 late fee. According to their policy, they would only credit me $15 once and never again. While it’s a small sum, good customer service would have accommodated my request. I made it clear I wouldn’t ask again. I've encountered similar situations with other companies that handled it without issue. I'm human and make mistakes, but it's unacceptable that they wouldn't accommodate me on my due date after I made the payment. In my line of work, we often provide exceptions, so I understand how it should operate.
Closed my account, thinking I had settled everything. I received a $3.00 minimum interest charge on a $0.00 balance. When I contacted them, they claimed that while I paid by the due date, my payment didn't cover the interest due, which is why I still had a balance and owed the $3.00. I questioned why the balance showed an amount if it didn't encompass everything. After finally speaking to a representative, they simply insisted I had to pay the fee and showed no concern for my frustration. I felt I shouldn’t owe that $3.00 since I settled the total amount on time. Their customer service is lacking, their website is difficult to navigate, and their automated responses are unhelpful. Avoid them to spare yourself the trouble.
Unacceptable banking practices. I applied for a credit card and was denied. The report from the service indicated my credit score was too low, yet it showed my score as 811. Clearly, I was denied due to my age. It’s disgraceful that they are allowed to mistreat the elderly.
I was promised a 12-month interest-free deal when I purchased a ring. Immediately, I set up autopay to cover the cost in 12 payments. The autopay date was set for the 28th of each month, and I made every payment on time. Recently, I was hit with a $560 interest charge because they claimed I hadn’t paid in full by the due date. Technically, they were correct, but I had actually paid it off in 11 payments as I increased my monthly payment. They refuse to remove the $560 charge. By the due date, I had paid nearly $2000. Even if I was slightly short, they shouldn’t charge interest on the entire purchase. Their system set the autopay outside the timeframe for equal payments. This is predatory and unethical behavior, especially since they misrepresent the terms of their zero-interest offers.
Extremely disappointing experience. I have a credit rating of 790 and purchased an item using my card, paying it off in two installments. The service reported my account as late when it was not. I'm currently refinancing my house and have never missed a payment. Their customer support was unhelpful and made me repeat my issue multiple times.
I will never open an account with this bank again! I recently opened a card and my statement indicated that mailed payments must be received by 5 PM ET. I made my payment by phone after that time, unaware of this obscure rule hidden in small print. I’m extremely frustrated and will ensure everyone I know avoids this bank.
The worst customer service, including supervisors. After a check paying my bill was lost, I made a payment with my debit card, informing them I had stopped payment on the check. A week later, they deposited the check and charged me for it, along with interest and a fee for not opting for paperless billing. After spending an hour on the phone with multiple representatives, I was told they would credit $2.00 in interest, but I still had to pay $34.98 in fees and enter a dispute that could take up to 90 days. This bank feels like nothing but a money-making scheme.
This is the worst credit card provider I have encountered in recent years. They try to charge for every little thing—interest, fees, and even interest on fees—despite attempts to pay in full. It feels like a scam. I always end up closing any accounts I have with them.
