Review Time
I cannot link this to my previous review? I logged into Trust pilot to put a review. Ironically, it was about an issue with a solicitor’s company I had employed to help with a claim against Conserveandsave. The solicitor was poorly and could not complete the work, yet the company did not want to give a refund, now they are addressing this (thank you Trust Pilot). So I am sharing some pointers I learnt on this journey, hindsight being a wonderful thing:Don’t employ a company who are not affiliated with a trade body, who can help when things go wrong.Don’t be fooled by the CPA 10 year insurance warranty backed guarantee (some key words there that customers will like – warranty/guarantee). This comes into effect if your installation company ceases to trade. The question you need answered is what is the actual guarantee on this product now. The CPA does not help a customer with a product issue.Always look on Companies House at the traders accounts to see if they are actually a viable business. I am seeing a new solicitor next week after the last one could not complete the work. It is helpful that when I have said the product does not work conserveandsave, have put in writing 25.09.25 (I can evidence this for Trustpilot) “During the recent well documented heatwaves, temperatures were on average, the hottest summer on record. This would obviously have had an impact on the temperature of your conservatory, as well as the rest of the house. Depending on the facing of a conservatory, the roof is the primary source of heat intake. However, it is not the only source, often windows and doors can have an impact, and it is simply a matter of taking all necessary steps for your conservatory to regulate the temperature”. This does not quite fit with the sales line “Transforming conservatories into all round living spaces” and “don’t just grin and bear it transform your conservatory today” or from the 2.5 hours of sales patter from the rep getting you to buy it.
The ceiling inside our conservatory looked like a flies graveyard as we had blinds on the ceiling. We then contacted Conserveandsave following our neighbour's recommendation. Sarah, of the company came out and gave a brilliant demonstration and it was refreshing that there were no hard sell tactics on her behalf. We decided to go ahead with the work and it was completed within a day a few weeks later. The guys who did the work were brilliant and did not waste any time achieving the end result and were clean and tidy, no mess left for me to clear up. We are extremely pleased with the end result and are now using the conservatory everyday, no more nasty blinds, or spiders come to that. If you want your conservatory to look really smart and admired by friends and family then contact Conserveandsave, best thing we ever did - highly recommended.
My experience with this company was at best disappointing. The guy who came to give us a quote was a very nice chap and came over as knowledgeable and professional. He gave us a quote of £2,500 but did not hear from him again, even though he was due to send a written quote that we never received. We got in touch with the company and had a very nice lady explain that the work we were wanting ( conservatory insulation) was not possible without replacing the whole roof. She gave me a quote of about £4,000 for all the work, she then rang back the following day to say that it would be £4,800, far to much for us. Such a shame.
All the staff were polite and punctual. The work was carried out on the arranged date, both quickly and efficiently. I was very happy with the end result.I am unsure of their pricing strategy but, despite this, have no hesitation in recommending this firm.
was installed and finished within 2hrs. It has made an improvement of not being so hot when it's roasting in sunshine outside. It still gets warm but is of a more bearable temperature. The same goes for the opposite temperature of a cool morning of not being so cold that you don't want to step foot inside. I had hoped for a stronger contrast but it's an improvement
The fitters arrived, having driven for maybe 4 hours, and got down to the installation right away. It was 30 degrees. outside and probably 40 inside the conservatory. It took 8 hours to install punctuated by many ice cold drinks which I gave to them. They worked tirelessly and afterwards left a minimal amount of debris from sawing the materials. The following day the temperature reached 30 again with the inside temperature to match, brilliant. My grandkids are grateful that they can use their screens without the reflection of the polycarbonate roof. The sound of rain on the roof is definitely muffled making it seem cosier and the finish of the installation is tidy with close attention to detail.I have yet to experience the affect of the insulation in cold weather but I suspect that it is going to be a good experience, watch this space.Conservseandsave had good technical introduction to the product with a minimal of follow up calls, so no hassle. Thoroughly recommended
I am glad I had the roof insulation installed. It was unfortunate we had the heatwave after the insulation and I needed to use a fan to keep the conservatory cooler but I am pleased with the results good workmanship. Now could use the conservatory most of the time
