Review Time
It took 1 hour 20 minutes to get back to my car - reasons given when chased was due to traffic - we waited 57 minutes before bus turned up, then it drop people off at north terminal 5 more minutes then decided to wait for a further 5 minutes until we asked the driver why. He said - I do what i am told, we explained how long we had been waiting so he check on radio and then drove on - It the took only 13 minutes to drive past our pick up point back to the car - I think they are using big buses and can't provide the service they used to with the mini buses - just saying sorry does not solve the 1hour 20 minute transfer
Have used this company before when they had a fully staffed office, driver's who knew how to communicate and mini buses. When dropping the car off we boarded the bus, then had to wait a good twenty minutes while they waited to fill it up. We were stopping at the Courtyard by Marriott but there was no communication from the driver, he was happily driving off again but I managed to get to the front door just in time. On our return I phoned them after getting our bags and we were told to make our way to bus stop 6. This was at 7.10pm, we arrived a few minutes after making the call. We are both fit, had one suitcase each and did not dawdle. We arrived approx 19.16 with no sign of a bus. After waiting another 40 minutes, giving them the benefit of the doubt, I phoned them again and was told we'd missed our allotted bus which I still struggle to understand. The next bus finally turned up after waiting a full 55 minutes and once we boarded, having shown our ticket to a driver that just mumbled at us, we sat there for another 8 minutes. Basically there is no personal service anymore, they will send a big bus out when there's enough customers. Rubbish communication, rubbish service, perfect example of being bought out and all customer service being dropped as it doesn't make money. NEVER AGAIN ( as one reviewer mentioned, APH and Purple pulled up at the stop 3 times while we waited)
The drop off was ok although the receptionist wasn’t very friendly. However, as several people have said, the return pick up was not good. I called at 3.29pm, the receptionist took a long time to answer. I had to wait at the South Terminal with other passengers for 35 minutes for the bus. Very frustrating as 3 APH buses and 2 Purple Parking buses collected from the bus stop during that time. When we got to the North terminal there were so many extra passengers that the bus became rammed with lots of people standing. Not good service and I won’t be using them again. After what was a straightforward flight and easy access through passport control I had to wait longer for the bus! Avoid and use APH or Purple Parking.
There have been negative reviews and I was a bit skeptical using their service.I used them for the first time and my experience was overall good.I did not have any issues on departure.On arrival, remember to call them as soon as you have collected the luggage.The bus that came on stop 6 was full as it came from South terminal and then after 10 minutes another van turned up and the driver called the booking numbers which I notified when I collected the luggage which was helpful.
Used Cophall Parking again, and found the whole experience FIRST CLASS, dropped the car off in a couple of minutes, taken straight to the South Terminal. On returning phones at the baggage hall for collection, within 5 minutes of getting outside, a coach was there and the driver was helping load and unload cases, then back to the car via the North Terminal, collecting the car again within a couple of minutes. Would highly recommend COPHALL PARKING!!
Sadly it is the same tale as others. Drop off to airport went smoothly, but return journey we waited over an hour. One bus came and left empty saying he had to collect from North Terminal. Plenty of Purple Parking buses collected in the time we waited. I shall definitely use them next time and NOT COPHALL PARKING GATWICK.
Going from car park to airport was fine, coming back a joke. Have to call them to say you’ve arrived, and they’ll “arrange” pick up. This means you have to wait until enough people have called to warrant sending a bus. Once the bus arrives (over 30 mins wait), the driver waits until the entire list of people have boarded the bus, meaning another long wait. In the meantime, multiple purple parking and APH buses come and go as they operate a standard shuttle service. Just as you thought you were finally off and on the way, the bus then goes to pick up passengers at another terminal .. and the whole process happens again.Won’t be using Cophall Parking again, just not the experience you want after returning from holiday.
We suspect someone had driven our car whilst we left in in their care. We have a blackbox in our car which shows where we parked and we can remember where we parked the car. About an hour later the black box shows the car had been moved in a completely different area which is fine however we came back to find the car was in another area from the reparking and our blackbox was no longer installed properly and not recording journeys from this point. It appears that from the time it was reparked by them the black box which is a plug in was no longer in place properly and the car had been moved so we suspect that this was removed on purpose. Once I put the black box back in the journeys started to record again. Since we have had the black box - around 5 years it has never come loose, what a coincidence it comes loose on the occasion we leave the key with them. We normally use purple parking and think we will only use them going forward.
