Dear Costco Customer Service Team,

I am writing to share a recent experience at one of your warehouse locations that left me feeling embarrassed and disappointed.

I visited the store with my dogs, believing they qualified to accompany me. At the entrance, the gentleman working at the door immediately stated, “I could tell they were not service animals,” and informed us that they could not enter. He never asked any questions about the animals, did not ask whether we had any documentation, and did not attempt to explain Costco’s policy or the difference between ADA-recognized service animals and Emotional Support Animals. Instead of calmly acknowledging that there is a specific policy and explaining what it requires, he was dismissive and rude in how he handled the situation.

After leaving the store, I researched Costco’s policy and now understand that only ADA-recognized service animals are permitted, and that Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) do not qualify under ADA guidelines. I acknowledge that this was my misunderstanding, and I respect Costco’s right to enforce its policy.

However, my concern is not about the policy itself — it is about how the situation was handled. The explanation was not delivered with professionalism or courtesy, and no effort was made to respectfully educate us on the policy. Had the situation been handled with basic customer service skills and clear communication, it would have felt very different.

We have shopped at Costco many times before without issue and value being customers. This experience was surprising and discouraging. I hope this feedback can be used as a training opportunity to ensure that policies are communicated clearly and respectfully in the future.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding how this will be addressed.

So when we have Antitrust - problematic products, where wholesale exists bulk government purchasers and unenumerated university purchasers, so too exists a very pointed opportunity for the momentum of that Costco pricing to effect US - interests. In this case, Plant- based replacement of meat and dairy.
I won the Nobel in Econ Sci such that the US ended and may be saved.
Any contentious pricing ( family pack commercial restaurant sales packaging) needs to be vegan only.
We need to see vegan cheese vegan meats rolled out by Costco. Beyond Meat, vegan pizzas, vegan yogurt, investment in defense- critical humanitarian animal cull and pain products trainings in farm and grocery, all settings animal and human for defense application. Costco and it’s kind need to be vegan only and pricing to create adoption for our plant- based earth goals.

— vegan meats, carving cut size, all meats and fish shellfish to be replaced and exact in taste raw and cooked

I will NEVER use a Costco. During the pandemic they were the RUDEST company i have ever encountered. Yelling at people to put their mask up over their mouth! And not in a nice or considerate way!!! Their cashiers can be rude also…not a nice company at all..,i know my two cents doesn’t matter, but we have a large family and have all decided not to use and stay with our SAM’S. Have fun with one of the worst companies EVER. I will not tolerate RUDENESS WHEN spending my $$$

Today i tried the deli calzone. I Did not like it. I would not buy it again. It doesnt even taste like a real calzone. I would recommend Costco to bring back the burger and fries combo because it had good price and taste. Also bring back the meat lover pizza.
I forgot to mention: For the record, my experience was at the Costco (Bayamon, PR) Food Court.

Horrible experience with Costco.com order. Ordered washer and dryer 30 days ago. Order #1253060393. Their scheduling service is terrible and does not allow you to pick a delivery window. When I finally could talk to someone it was too late to change the time slot and had to reschedule. When it finally arrived the driver did not want to delver because of a little snow in the driveway. They never called my cell and just ended up taking off with my son standing in the driveway. We would have accepted delivery in the road and carried it in ourselves. I tried to call during the delivery but got many prompts and put on hold waiting for someone to talk to. Ended up canceling the order a month after ordering it. Now we have to pick up from somewhere else. Never using Costco.com again after this experience.

I love Costco! There's food samples so you're free food. The pizza tastes DELICOUIS along with the Stawberry Banna Smoothie. The Chicken Bakes are also really good and the coats you can buy are really warm and good (depending on the brand!).

Frustrating Delivery Experience

I ordered a washer from a retailer with a scheduled delivery window of 3–5 PM. Throughout the day, I received three calls pushing the delivery back, only to ultimately be informed that it wouldn’t arrive at all. The following day, a representative told me that the washer was never even loaded onto the truck, which meant it couldn’t have been delivered despite the repeated “updated” arrival times. The retailer processed a refund, but the misleading information, wasted time, and complete failure to deliver were extremely frustrating. I expected better communication and reliability for such a significant appliance purchase.

Frustrating Service Experience

While the presence of an English version is a plus, the execution is poor, and it complicates the user experience. Transitioning from an executive membership to a standard one while placing an order is unnecessarily difficult. They seem to create hurdles to prevent users from leaving their program, which is frustrating.

I attempted to place orders for electronics twice, but I wouldn't rely on this service as they outsource to a support team that seems ineffective. When I raised complaints, the responses were generic and unhelpful. I would recommend exploring other options that provide better customer service.

Caution Regarding Membership Issues

While there is an English version available, it uses poor machine translation that complicates the experience. My executive membership had expired, and I faced significant challenges trying to switch to a standard membership while placing an order. They make it intentionally difficult to exit their program, which feels predatory and frustrating.
