Review Time
Having rented an RV from Cruise America in November 2025, we have now returned home to Australia. The E350 based vehicle we had for 18days was the worst and most unroadworthy vehicle I have driven in my 54 years driving all types of vehicles in over 30 countries. The vehicle had bad wheel alignment and possibly damaged front end steering. Any speed over 55mph caused dangerous wandering, and excesive concentration to keep the RV within the lane. I attempted to contact them on the number supplied. No answer in 90 mins before I hung up. When we returned the RV, the depot appeared not to be interested it the roadworthyness of the vehicle.
Disgusting condition of the RV !!!First of all there was only one vehicle on the lot when we went to pick up. They had no other options.- The black water meter didn’t work. When we asked they mentioned since we will have full hookups it won’t matter. But the whole time there was a terrible smell and who knows how dirty the tank was.- The kitchen sink faucet was loose and woobly and every-time we turned it on it was shaking. I was worried it might break and flood.- The fridge door handle was broken. Wouldn’t open easily.- The exhaust over the stove made a terrible noise so we couldn’t use it.- It was dusty and there was something musty and some type of dust settling. The least they could have done is vacuum the floor and windows.- My throat started hurting the same night we picked up.
Overall we were happy and had a great time bit a few things can be fixed before the camper is rented again.Fridge, started out not holding temp. But we called and they walked us through a reset. Also it smelled like fish. We tried to clean it, but smell would not go awayBottom kichen drawer won't stay closeOutside door will not latch to stay openTire censor continues to appear on the dash. All tires are holding air so we did not have any issuesScreen on windows behind drivers side has a tear in it
We were excited and looking forward to our Cruise America Road trip when the unthinkable happened. David Shepherd was very compassionate when we were forced to cancel our trip. During times of grief it is good to know there are still some companies who are kind and generous.
