Avoid at all cost!

Avoid at all cost!Abysmal service from DC Thomson, only received 2 magazines during a 3 month subscription, multiple phone calls resulting in missed issues being re-sent, but never arrive. I just don't understand how a company can get it so wrong.

Wrong plants delivered with no offer of an exchange

I ordered 12 plants which consisted of 4 different types of giant grasses. All of them were a completely different grass. When I tried to liaise with the company they failed to respond to several polite emails.Please don't order from this company.

Aberdeen P&J - Local News ???

I really struggle with Aberdeen Press and Journal domination of local news. You are led by Google to online site, then asks for a subscription, even for the most basic of public service news. Is it that difficult to give any information away for free. Come on at least provide some shared minimal content if you support developing the local community, e.g. like public events and what is going on for people in the City and Shire. No wonder Aberdeen is so boring and non - eventful with this type of closed shop mentality.

I bought my mum a subscription to…

I bought my mum a subscription to people’s friend on a Black Friday deal, she’s had her conformation letter but she’s still waiting for her magazine to be delivered......my mother is elderly and we live in the far north east of Scotland, as I’m sure people can appreciate it’s hard for elderly people to get to the shops when it’s winter.......I’m VERY disappointed in this company, they’ve quite happily taken my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unacceptable customer service

If I could cancel my Beano subscription with immediate effect I would definitely do so. My grandchildren love the comic but 3 out of 4 of the most recent issues have failed to reach them. I have contacted the helpline numerous times over a 10 day period but every agent just tries to fob me off, insisting that I need to "give it a few more days". Totally unwilling to investigate or to provide me with the info needed to investigate myself. Also unwilling to provide details of a named individual responsible for dealing with complaints.

Very disappointed with the customer…

Very disappointed with the customer service at this organisation. My mother subscribed to receive monthly pocket novels, but unfortunately the most recent delivery was damaged in the post & only 1 of the 2 books were in the damaged envelope! Neither of us were able to get through to the company via telephone, so I sent an email over 2 weeks ago & no response. Looking at the reviews of this company I don’t think we’ll be renewing the subscription.

Avoid this waste of time company

Don’t bother with this company. Signed up for subscription offer in July, they took the direct debit details wrongly (apparently) when I signed up online (I checked these and I was adamant they were correct. Two further letters and two phone calls to them followed when they wrote to say direct debit details were still wrong. Then received a confirmation letter followed by a letter saying the date the subscription will be taken is changing and now a call to say the details are on the wrong account…. I STILL HAVENT RECEIVED THE MAGAZINE!!!!! Avoid!And now they have just cancelled my subscription

If you need to buy a subscription through this company I would recommend looking elsewhere. Took a 6 month payment which I bought as a gift when the title had already been sold to another publisher who they haven’t given any valid contact details for. Now paid for a 6 month subscription that hasn’t been received and they seem to have washed their hands of (despite me paying them) - absolute con.

Refund problem for publication that has ceased

The magazine I subscribed to as a Christmas present for my granddaughter ceased publication in March. They sent an email in April saying they would refund the remaining subscription in 28 days. I've phoned and emailed since to no avail. I have today received another email saying I will be refunded in 28 working days. Digital refunds take hours not weeks. I don't hold out much hope of ever getting my money back and my granddaughter hasn't had her magazines.

AVOID - took money and sent nothing

They took my subscription payment in March and I have received nothing. I should have received 2 issues by now. They have also said I will not get the free gift I was entitled to through the link I used. I have been emailing for 3 weeks asking for my money back and not one email has been responded to. Shocking customer service.
