I Wouldn't even give this place 1 stars! They are the rudest estate agents iv had to deal with (Selly Oak Branch), iv recently just moved out of a property which I rented through Dixons & id definitely AVOID now if I was going to rent again . Timothy Reynolds was nothing but rude about me leaving threatening extra charges for leaving the property as he couldn't be botherd to read my tenancy agreement and see that under the break clauses I ended my tenancy in the correct way. All he cares about is getting his commission at the end of the day from there over priced properties. Daniella Lawmon also rude from this branch, questioning me about why I was leaving the property & also trying to threaten me with additional charges which where NOT in my agreement. They don't push the landlord on getting any repairs done they just fob you off on the phone with aload of rubbish to make sure you keep paying that rent every month so they get their commission!!. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
Dixons Yardley I sold my late mom’s property through this Dixons Branch and have to say that the sales team - Faye, Zoe & Naomi have been absolutely amazing throughout the whole of my experience, very friendly, caring, approachable as well as completely professional - it has been a real pleasure & I would totally 100% recommend!! You are top notch assets to the Branch - thank you so much.
I highly recommend anyone who’s looking to buy their future home, to go to the Kings Norton branch. From the start Korron and Amelia made me feel like I was family. Korron was with me every step of the way and help guide me on this amazing journey. She alway went above and beyond for me. Even going into work on her days off to help things so as smoothly as possibly. And for that I am truly grateful. Feel as though I have met friends for life. Thank you so much x
Do not rent from Dixon! I am currently suffering because of their lies. When viewing the property, Amber (Yardley branch) assured me certain issues would be fixed. She then called.me to say they had been. As soon as I moved in I realised she had lied. The shower floods and the kitchen has a leak which is now flooding the floor. It has been 2 weeks since I reported it, still nothing from countrywide. Avoid Dixon, Countrywide and save yourself future hassle.
Bought a property through Dixons has a first time buyer and even decided to use David Smith for my Mortgage and I can say what a lovely man he is, he did all the hard work and running around, kept me updated at all times right until I had my house keys so thank you to him, will definitely be using him again and recommending him to all. When initially putting an offer on the house, I felt when it came to the price Zoe was playing on the fact I really liked the house and wanted it and so games were being played and I ended up paying £5k over the asking price which I really regret because when moving into the house, I found so many problems. When I spoke to Zoe about dodgy Electric work with a fake certificate given, she ignored it and said she can't do anything, even thou the person who sold the property is well known to Dixons. Highly advise everyone to paid and get a survey completed and not just rely on the Bank to theirs. Elite Properties LTD is the company that's sells house through Dixons with fake electric certificates.
Rented flat - Longley Walk, Chelmsley Wood.My partner rented a flat from Dixons for 12 months, on check-in the property had various marks and smudges and was far from pristine condition. I myself have worked in property lettings for 11 years and I deal with all aspects from check in, check out and releasing deposits on a daily basis, so I know exactly what is and is not acceptable. The flat had tiny electric wall heaters that were not wired in and did nothing to heat the flat, these heaters were not mentioned on the EPC as it had Blown air heating when it was carried out and would mostly likely fail a new EPC, you could see your breath in the flat it was that cold. Various repairs and the poor heating was reported to Dixons many times and even mentioned during an inspection but nobody ever got back to him even when he called up to chase. Before check out myself, my partner and his parents cleaned the flat, it was left in a cleaner condition than when he moved in. He then received an email from Dixons to say the landlord would like £190 towards cleaning. The deposit was on the insured scheme where the landlord holds the deposit and pays a membership to insure it with MyDeposits, this means MyDeposits always sit in favor of the landlord as they are the paying member not the tenant. With this in mind we disputed the deposit and sent photographic evidence of the cleaning and condition plus the emails shared, the deposit should have been released in full but they still took £145 of it and awarded the landlord. My advice is avoid renting from Dixons and always avoid signing up for a deposit on an insured scheme, the tenant will never be in a fair position.
