Applied online, next morning had a call about potential match, arranged visit and decided he was the one for us. We and Clint are happily getting on together as a family. The process was very simple, everything explained, all questions answered.

We came across Dogs Trust Ballymena…

We came across Dogs Trust Ballymena online by pure chance, we didn’t know there was a dogs trust in NI we thought it was just England but Today was our 2 day check-in. Harley 1yr -2yr Siberian husky x Frenchie (known before as Trooper) is settling in just fine, unfortunately he’s not been very well socialised with other humans or dogs for his very early life so he is very anxious and reactive at times and this is going to take work with his confidence and trust and it will take time but when he gets to know you he is such a little sweetie and little by little he’s coming out of his shell. Dogs trust Ballymena and the lady that called today, have been absolutely amazing from the very start, so welcoming and friendly, very knowledgeable about each of the dogs in their care, their history, their needs, his character, the list really goes on. You can see how dedicated and passionate every staff member is. The Ballymena facility is very impressive in its self too, it’s full of training areas indoor and outdoor, offers training courses to book into, every dog has its own personal safe space with raised beds, lots of comforters, really a little home from home while they wait. We genuinely couldn’t think of a question to ask because they were so full of information. We were invited up as many times as we’d like to spend time with Harley and be confident we were happy to proceed with adopting Harley and most importantly, Harley liked us and was happy around us. A week from application a few visits, a home visit and Harley came home with us, complete with a up to date medical report, his boosters, microchip, 4 weeks free insurance, a voucher for his Neutering (for when he’s settled a little more), on going support for life, a weeks worth of his food, his very own dogs trust collar, harness and lead and lastly added reassurance that for whatever reason things don’t work out we can return him to them. ( I really don’t see that happening) Harley is our first rescue, so we were a bit scared of what to expect but these guys have made the whole experience an amazing one, a reasonably smooth transition for us and Harley and we’re really looking forward to our next check-in in 2wks time to fill them in with Harleys progress. We highly recommend you consider Dogs trust for your first choice if you’ve decided to rescue a little one in need, you’ll be as impressed and thankful as we are.

We used Dogs Trust for the second time…

We used Dogs Trust for the second time to find a lovely forever pooch. They run a marvellous, well organised operation and we got our lovely girl within a few days of applying. She hated spending time in the kennels so we were happy to bring her home almost immediately after checks.

DOGS TRUST IS THE BEST.

They made us very welcome. Listened to what we were looking for in a dog and what we could offer the dog. They didn't rush us. We have already recommended Dogs Trust to a few of our friends. Our new little girl Chihuahua is now sat comfortably with my wife watching TV. She has also managed her way under the duvet at night and sleeps well, even occasionally snoring. We wouldn't have her any other way. Thanks very much Dogs Trust. Good luck with your future endeavours.
