Dogs Trust Basildon - Thank you

We wanted a dog and would much rather adopt so Dogs Trust at Basildon was our obvious choice. They are obviously passionate about what they do and their staff are cheerful, professional and very caring. With their help we found a lovely little lady that is settling in well.

Dont appear focused on rehoming at all

We saw a dog advertised on a few different places and enquired about it. We did say wed take a different dog because obviously 'you dont choose the dog' thing is rubbish but hey ho.We live rural with 2.5 acres and tje dog in question needed quiet roads, lots of activity etc etc.....No dogs available at this time to suit our request aparently.Well I giess we're buying another pup instead of giving one from hers a chance

Many thanks to Dogs Trust

Many thanks to Dogs Trust for our new boy. Andrea at Penrith got in touch with the perfect match for us and, after all the initial paperwork, within a week we were collecting him. Andrea and Mike were excellent at dealing with the handover, they went into details of what to do when we got home with our new dog. You could tell they are very caring about the animals in their care and the back up you receive from Dogs Trust is second to non. If you are thinking of going to Penrith I can highly recommend you do. Andrea and Mike are so easy to talk to, they answer all your worries and are only at the end of the phone should you need any help or questions. We cannot thank them enough for our boy Mitch. He is a dream dog, we cannot believe how lucky we are and thank Andrea every day for pairing us with him.It is good to know there are people like these that care for all these poor dogs that need a loving home through no fault of their own.

Knowledgeable, comforting and helpful

We're currently struggling with our Labrador, and at my wits end, I contacted Dog's Trust Behaviour Support Line. And I'm so glad I did. Heather was really understanding and seemed very knowledgeable. She didn't once make me feel like I was failing, which if I'm being honest, was what I was scared of. She talked me through some training activities to do and sent me some useful documents on some of the things we'd discussed. Thank you so much Heather.

CANTERBURY DOGS TRUST

From my 1st visit to the immaculate canterbury dogs trust unit, and meeting these dedicated guys i knew I was in the right place to adopt a dog 👍. I was blown away by the love, and dedication the staff have for these beautiful creatures. After several visits, I'm lucky enough to have had Whiskey chose me 💞.

Tilly

Three weeks ago today, 31st August, my husband and I together with our two dogs met Tilly and brought her home to Sussex. For us, it was a 40 hour round trip, for Tilly it was 20 hours and she took it in her stride. Tilly travelled in the passenger seat of the car next to my husband, we caught the 10.30 pm ferry from Belfast arriving back in Sussex at lunchtime the following day.The staff at Dogs Trust Ballymena are exceptional. From the first phone conversation with me, to meeting us and agreeing that we could adopt Tilly. Tilly is a former breeder dog, so has not have the best of starts to life. She was very poorly when Dogs Trust took her in, however, with the care she received from the staff and vets Tilly's health improved. Sarah, at DTB fostered Tilly with her mum and they have done an amazing job of starting the rehabilitation of Tilly. We are now continuing the process. Slowly but surely Tilly is beginning to come out of herself. She gaining confidence. It is wonderful to see her blossoming as she is settling down. We just adore her and are so pleased that she is with us in her forever home.Tilly is the third dog that we have adopted from Dogs Trust. On each occasion the staff have been very helpful and the process straight forward - on this occasion we travelled to the Ballymena site to collect Tilly. The after adoption help was have received has been amazing, the follow-up calls to check that all is well. I really cannot fault Dogs Trust and would most certainly adopt from them again.

DOGS TRUST EVESHAM

DOGS TRUST EVESHAMWe would like to thank Hannah & Natalie and all staff at Evesham's re-homing Dog Trust for connecting us with our Golden Retriever Frank ( now renamed Bailly). From the moment we got in contact they were very helpful. We saw Bailly in a nice atmosphere and fell in love with his good nature and response. We collected him on 22nd August 2025 and are happy to say he has settled in very well and is now part of a loving family. He as recently been on holiday with us and really enjoyed himself. He is a lovely boy and we feel lucky to have him. He is bringing us much joy after we lost our last Golden Retriever in May.Thank you to everyone at Evesham Dog TrustLove from Bailly & The Cadman Family
