Says it all about how seriously they treat customers."Wake up on Saturday morning to no car, no contact, and no refund in my account.The only thing I got is a lame email at 4am - just hours before the start of the trip. Getting stuck on a Saturday morning forced to make alternative travel arrangements to a wedding for the whole family is not a great experience! Avoid this car club member, and avoid easycar for important events!"
Booked a car for my UK trip via Easycar website and took their full protection which states that you will receive a refund for any excess paid in case of an accident.
The car Easycar provided me was via a third car hire company called Europcar and as I was involved with an accident, Europcar charged me their excess fee which was £1000.
I made my claim for the reimbursement of this fee on Easycar website and supplied them all the documents they requested. However it has been more than a month now I still have not had my refund yet. Worst still it is difficult to get in touch with them and they do not reply to any emails. I have written to them more than 5 times now with no reply. I called them twice and each time I called I was told that they were looking into it and had to have a repair estimate from Europcar. Their website clearly states that a full refund will be provided if a full protection package is taken out. However it does not seem to be the case and Easycar thinks it can drag its feet and not pay out the money. This is blatant fraudulent behaviour and appalling customer service. I would NOT recommend anyone renting or using Easycar services.
