I just received my first order and couldn’t be more pleased! I was a little skeptical like anyone may be for the first time especially since I live in Connecticut. Quite a ways from Colorado. I ordered over $300 to allow for free shipping and my 8 pounds of elk ribeyes arrived completely rock solidly frozen. No would very much recommend using elk usa. Can’t wait to order other options!! Thank you!!
The meat came in frozen and exactly like I expected. The flavor is amazing and it’s an easy meat to cook. I made a roast with it and I cooked some in wild grain rice and cream of mushroom soup for a wild game supper and all I brought back was empty containers. Elk USA is great to work with and I’ll definitely be making future purchases with them.
I have been a customer of Grande Natural Meats (a.k.a. Elk USA) for over ten years. I love game meat and their product has always been of a very high quality. I have never, not even once, had an order arrive that was not still fully frozen. I am also a very thrifty shopper and have been frustrated by shipping costs, too. Before COVID, I would usually place an order in the Spring and one in the Fall when the temperatures are cool enough to use UPS Ground. I am hoping I can return to that method once we survive the pandemic. One of the things I most appreciate about Grande Natural Meats is that they offer nose-to-tail products, such as hearts, livers, neck roasts, soup bones, dog food, etc. For the reviewer that loves Sayersbrook, glad you like them but they do not offer these products. Recently, I purchased a whole elk liver - 7lbs! I cut it up into 1 lb. packages and refroze it. It is delicious as heck and reminds me of my grandma's venison liver recipe. I’ve been buying antler dog chews from Elk USA for several years & they never disappoint! I’ve even stoped by their facility while on vacation in Colorado. Very helpful & nice with a huge selection of wild meats antlers supplements etc... The only problem I have had is the fact that they use UPS to deliver their products. I get notifications from UPS saying that they will deliver one day by 9:00 pm only to have them reschedule delivery without any explanation. They do this every time! It’s a numbers game. It’s all about scamming the shipper. However, this will NOT deter me from using Elk USA. Thank you, Chris

Recieved a gift certificate for $100 and didn't use it right away. When I found it and tried to order I was told that their policy is a two year expiration date for gift certificates.Federal Law states five years and nowhere on the certificate or the web site do they state this policy. When I stated this to them they said for private business they can do whatever they want....so basically they stole $100 and lost a future customer. Great business practice!!!
Very friendly and helpful staff called me to help with my order and gave me all the details about my order and helped me to save money with the shipping all the way to Florida. My package arrived today in excellent shape.. everything still frozen, clean, and intact with a lovely new calendar 😊 this will be my go-to place for game meat as I’ve had at least 2 orders from fossil farms that came with blood leaking in their packages before. Yes the shipping is expensive but that is because of the UPS charges and not the company’s fault. I happily ordered a few more packs to make the shipping charges worth it and I am thrilled with the quality of my items 🥰
Make sure you don't give a bad review or Rich will just provide you with snarky passive aggressive remarks and then end with a "hope you buy from us again in the future". Nope sorry, I ordered a rack of white tail ribs and when I called to set up the shipping and handling the woman I spoke to said it would be $111.00 haha the ribs themselves were like $13. When I said dang that kind of shipping cost isn't exactly posted everywhere on the website, the woman gave me a quick sly remark under her breath "actually yes it is." Sorry honey but it just says shipping can be expensive. I guess the only way to find out just how expensive the shipping cost per pound is, is to make an order. Cancelled that order right away and will not be making another one. Not impressed by the customer service. Not impressed by the secretive shipping cost. Not impressed by the way the General manager conducts himself with his responses to customers. Bad business model all the way around.*edit: received my response from my boy Rich. No sir, Shelly did not simply "point out that disclosure". She was rude and that's bad business. And my original comment was that shipping costs of that amount are not posted anywhere on the site, just that it can be expensive( whatever that is supposed to mean). And the only way to find out how much it will be is to order it and then call. Your website is deceitful when it comes to actual shipping costs. Does not explain any of the stuff you disclosed in your review response. Don't even try that junk with me. You know you're wrong.** You are just a grown up child who refuses to acknowledge the shortcomings of his company. And your website looks like it was put together by a 7th grader, my boy.
