Visited the Evisu store last weekend. This was supposed to be one of my highlights during my stay in Tokyo. What a bad experience it turned out to be. Staff was arrogant to the max and the fit of the jeans where small. Not like the new wide fashion. But that can happen. That the staff member was very arrogant and totally not interested in selling me something was the saddest thing. Can’t believe the owner of Evisu would appreciate this behavior. But, kept my money and bought a pair at Momotaro in Kyoto. There I found people with the same love for denim as I do. So, my advice, go to Momotaro and leave Evisu for what it is.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM EVISU! I’ve received my denim jacket that clearly has bad stitching and marks all over it. I’ve been in contact with Evisu who are based in HONG KONG and have sent pictures of the faulty item but they are refusing to accept that it’s faulty. They are now telling me I must pay £48 to return the item back to them. I’m currently CHARGING BACK my item through KLARNA and going down that route.
This is a review about the quality of their t-shirts and also customer services. This is my first time buying anything from EVISU and I will never buy from the company again. First the quality of the material of what I bought is just standard material, and not reflective of the price. I spent over £250 on 3 t-shirts expecting the t-shirts to be thick, heavy and of a luxurious feel (like some less expensive other brands. I have £40 t-shirts that feel and look better quality). These EVISU t- shirts unfortunately do not match the very high price tag, one of which was over £100! The material is not of particularly high quality, quite thin, and I guess they will not fit well or look good after a few washes. The embroidery on the design, however, is nice! Overall I’m very disappointed but to send these items back will cost me the return postage to China, which I had been quoted to be over £40. Additionally customer services have been unhelpful, I’m still waiting for response to my email for over a week! With only 14 days to return items, it really isn’t good enough to not receive an immediate reply. My time has now lapses to return the items. Finally I have read the additional terms of returning items, and the information states any items in the sale or discounted etc, can only be returned for a gift voucher. I received a small discount for joining the mailing list, so from what I understand I would not have ben able to receive my money back to the original payment method. Unbelievable. I asked customer services the question but didn’t receive a reply in time before the 14 days return window (to China) lapsed. I’m really disappointed, I won’t be buying from this company again.
I really like some of the Evisu stuff I used to buy from the outlet store near where I lived in Asia. Now back in the UK I have purchased several items from Evisu.com the last order had a 50% discount + another 10% for Black Friday I ordered on Friday night & it was delivered Wednesday morning from HK!I did have an issue on a previous order with an item held up in customs but that was HMC problem Evisu service was pretty good & gave me a credit for the delay. There were no charges or anything like some other reviews mentioned just a slight delay.
Don't bother with buying from evisu.comUnless you pay attention to their returns policy, one would assume that you'd be able to return any items to a uk address right? No! You'd need to spend a minium of £35 to return it to an address in Hong Kong. This is despite them sending goods from a uk warehouse. (asking for their returns process and payment for their returns label takes at least a few days of email exchanges as they seem to only respond to your email once a day). What a joke. The time and risk associated with returning goods to another country is beyond dumb. Anyway, buy with care!
Some of the items from them are great. Sizing is a bit off. I recently bought 2 pairs of jeans. Once worn it was evident that the material is cheap denim which stretch’s as the day goes on and I look like I’ve s**t myself by the end of the day. Not impressed at all after paying all that money for them. And now worn cannot be returned.
I recently bought a jacket from the previous season from Evisu. They kept the jacket in stock even though it was no longer listed in the main section of the site, which I was really pleased with. My package arrived on time and they even let me change my address promptly after I wrote a type in the street name.
