I have trawled through umpteen travel insurance companies. I can honestly Explorer offer the SAME cover but at a MUCH BETTER PRICE. As it is a smaller company, you speak to only a handful of people, they get to know you, they are really helpful. I am extremely happy with Explorer.
I purchased a policy from Explorer as the price was competitive in regard to the cover I got with the policy. I will renew with them providing the price remains competitive. If it doesn’t then I will go elsewhere. I’m hoping I can stay with them but time will tell when my renewal comes up. Haven’t had to make a claim on the policy so how that’s handled is not something I can comment on at this time.
Thankfully I have not had to make a claim, although I am confident if I had to everything would be sorted.I get regular correspondence from Ian with useful tips, ideas and news of any potential change to legislation, procedures etc. They are also competitively priced and will discuss any issues you may have in a friendly professional manner.
Had to cancel a multi part, self booked trip around 4 countries in Europe a week before heading off due to a bereavement. Includes multiple flights, hotels, a trip with a travel agency half way through. All quite complex. Fully covered by explorer. I would recommend them and will be taking another annual policy when this one expires.
