Very disappointed in both service and actual offer when it finally was relayed to me. I had applied originally almost a month ago by a person who was very caring and understanding agent. Made me feel I calm and confident that they could help and I could stop having so much overwhelming anxiety and uncertainty. Then I heard nothing for days or had been given a decision when I checked the app. Case closed a week later due to lack of communication from my lawyer. Told to reapply and inform lawyer of intentions, which I did the first time, as well, I notified the paralegal too. My second attempt ELF said they sent information to my lawyer numerous times. Lawyer indicated both her and the paralegal had not received anything. Back and forth with possible IT issues from the firms security blocks for days. Said to maybe talk directly instead of playing email tag may yield better results. Paralegal phoned that Friday that they sent my information to ELP, however due to Labor Day weekend I may not hear until after Monday, which I expected. Finally received a message on Tuesday that I was approved for funding. Days went by again with no communication from anyone. Left multiple messages because of memory issues I wasn't sure if there was more on my end needing to be done, no replies. Called directly today and after being put on hold forever it seemed the person said I was approved for the minimum amount, $500. Quite disappointing as that wouldn't even cover months rent. I understand that it's not ELPS fault for the accident, but 1 1/2 years after accident now. Does anyone think that amount can help hold me over for possibly more months, because it can't. It's bad enough being disabled and having to seek help, but then to build someone up and tell them you are here to help and things will gets better, only to smack them back down lower then they already feel. My fault I believed there was actually a possibility of relieving some of this burden that the accident has caused. At least your service people are polite and very convincing.
