On Feb 2, 2026 I wanted to send one fax and the charge was 99¢ as advertised. As far as I know, it went through (although that was never confirmed by the recipient).
However, when the credit card bill came today, the billing was 99¢ PLUS another $19.95 for a subscription! I immediately canceled it and, of course, the service continues for another month, so I'm out another $20 beyond what I was led to believe I would pay. I then checked all three of the emails that I received from Faxly in the process of sending my single fax and NOT ONE of them mentioned that I'd now be charged another fee for a subscription.
If you need to send a lot of faxes, just buy a fax machine - I'd hate to think how much a second fax might cost me...
This was my first time faxing! I knew that it was possible to do online and really had to fax something since I couldn't wait for it to be mailed, and buy stamps. 1 fax for 99 cents was very convenient considering it was only a one time thing! and the person who received it responded immediately after which was great!
The fax was never received by the intended recipient. I confirmed all details with them, so there was no mistake on my end. Although it indicated that the fax was delivered, this was not the case. Initially, I thought I had just lost $0.99 due to the automatic subscription, but now I'm actually down an additional $19.
I used the service once, expecting it to cost .99¢ as advertised, but was surprised by an unexpected withdrawal of $19.99. I reached out to the company via email and even sent a fax a week ago, but I never received any confirmation from them. I have tried multiple times to contact the support team about an unauthorized charge, but received no responses. This service feels like a scam. I would advise against using it for anything.
There's no need to search all over for fax services. While it wasn't free, 99 cents is a reasonable price. I received confirmation within a minute. Since the time zone I sent the fax to was different, they called me the next morning to confirm receipt. I will definitely use this service repeatedly.
On January 12, I paid $0.99 for what I thought was a one-time fax delivery. I did NOT knowingly sign up for a recurring subscription. Yet, on January 15, I was unexpectedly charged $19.95 for a subscription that wasn't clearly mentioned during the purchase. There were absolutely no notifications about the subscription. This feels like a complete scam. I'm thinking about reaching out to a fraud attorney. Additionally, neither of my two faxes were successfully sent, and they refused to provide a refund. P.S.: I recommend using ReportFraud.ftc.gov to report this issue and seek further investigation.
I searched for "free fax services" and came across the app. Clicking the link took me directly to the fax submission page instead of the main site. I submitted my document and entered the fax details, only to be surprised by a $0.95 charge. I paid it and sent the fax, despite the fee being applied after I completed the process. Later, while reviewing my bank account, I noticed another surprise: a $19.95 monthly fee! I checked the website, and while it does mention this fee if you navigate to the homepage, the landing page on Google directs you straight to the fax section, obscuring the 48-hour trial for $0.95. I emailed them requesting a refund since I hadn't used the service after that initial fax, but my request was denied. This feels like a scam! They likely make a lot of money through these charges. I advise against using this service! UPDATE 1/5/2026:
The service reached out and agreed to refund me. They requested that I remove this post afterward. However, I will keep it up to inform others about my experience; I did change my rating from 1 to 4 to lessen the negative impact. In my opinion, it's poor business practice to only issue refunds when pressured... If they truly cared, they would have refunded me immediately, seeing I hadn't used the service since that initial fax.
I have to confess that I was uncertain about online faxing at first, but this service has proven to be very efficient. No more issues with paper jams or annoying busy signals when the device is occupied. Plus, I feel reassured knowing I get instant confirmation when a fax is successfully sent.
