I have been with Fisher Investments UK for 7 years and I could not be happier. It has been a tough year for many reasons but the company’s level of service is unmatched. The role of the IC makes it easier to sleep well at night. Given the performance over the past few years has been exceptional, the current state of the climate is not a concern. Looking forward to a brighter 2023 in the stock market
Just got out of Fisher entirely. They're fine in a bull market but have no overall plan when the market goes south, e.g., no reactive or stop-loss strategy or capital preservation. When I first met with a Fisher representative in person, I asked what they do in bear markets, and was told that they would protect my money. They haven't they preserved or protected my portfolio in the past 14+ months - other than move out of some equities and into others. When I saw my portfolio dip >20%, and then >25%, I asked my investment counselor what was being done, and received an edgy, "What do you want us to do, put it all in cash? You won't be positioned when the market rebounds." Like any investor, bear markets and recessions happen. But a contingency plan is key ... especially when markets / portfolios keep sliding >9 months! To their credit, they do provide webinars and client calls, but pointing to historical examples and being reminded to be patient doesn't help when your portfolio is no better in November 2022 than November 2020. Fisher doesn't have a well-rounded or understood strategy when markets slide over time, and no plan to stop the bleeding. Given what has happened with my hard-earned money, I'm done.
Fisher Investments might have some negative reviews, but my guess are those are from people that are clearly frustrated by the market environment and their own confusion about investing. Yes they call way to much at the beginning. However I decided to hear them out and now I have been a client at Fisher for 4 years. They did very very well durring the Covid crisis and called me regularly with updates and made a few strategy changes that knocked it out of the park in 2020 and 2021. In 2022 they are doing about what the market has done and they have assured me I am still on track and provide me with the mathematical proof that helps me sleep well at night. Thank you to my Investment Representative Steven and his team. Best Investment group I have worked with and I prior with a local Edward Jones person, and Vanguard. But they were always getting me about 1/2 of what the market was. Fisher is worth the value and he is humble enough to go on TV and explain to the world his good calls and bad calls. Can you say the same about your person?
Total ripoff investment management company.Lousy Returns. High Fees. They make it very hard for their clients to find out what their returns and even their account balances are. Like others have stated, their only expertise is in aggressive advertising, NOT investing. Once they have your money, you are doomed. I got conned. Don't make the same mistake. RUN--DO NOT WALK--AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Also, DO NOT trust SmartAsset's glowing assessment of Fisher investments. They are even more untrustworthy than Fisher.
I'm surprised by some of these reviews as my experience has been excellent with them. A few of my friends also have an account with them and none of us would go anywhere else as we are very happy. Great service and very professional to deal with.
In a background of Fed warnings of rate increases, war in Ukraine. a stock market with very high P/E ratios and a market that had begun its collapse, Fisher put me into a high priced, high risk portfolio with a 20 year time horizon. I am 83 years old. They also couldn't or wouldn't acknowledge that it was a bear market even into last summer. I took my accounts out of Fisher at the end of the year. I think Fisher should change its slogan to "We do better when our clients do better and when our clients do worse we do ok".

I have been through 3 investment companies in 6 years. The first barely made enough profit to pay their fees, however they were being very safe and very conservative which may be good for some people. The second churned my account earning large commissions/fees the whole time I was with them. The third Fisher investment I have been happy with. I also lost less on the down turns and with zero commissions or transaction fees, beside their small quarterly charges they have done better then the overall market with consistent gains for more then 4 years. I am a client and always have had good communication with them. Hey guys I don't think I am alone on this as a few others must like them as they have 189 Billion under management! Hello!
We have been with Fisher Investments for 7 years. We moved because my mom has been with them a very long time and has had great return on investment year over year. They ways beat the indexes and when there are market corrections, Fisher positions for a softer downturn. They are always very helpful, responsive and patient to explain any questions in detail. Great company, we are very happy.
