Review Time
One of the best apps for keeping track of my cycle as a PCOS girly. Also sends me reminders to change my patch and helps keep track of everything down to symptoms for my doctor. The free plan is amazing, and Premium is even better, usually comes with a hefty discount year round. Definitely a must have, and always part of the first ten apps I download as necessities.
I’ve been using Flo for over a year and it’s excellent for tracking cycles and symptoms. The interface is clean, the insights are helpful, and overall it’s a well-designed app. That said, one major frustration: the in-app chat doesn’t remember my health context. I am in menopause, yet every time I check in, it asks me the same basic questions as if we’ve never interacted before. After a year of consistent use, this feels like a missed opportunity. If Flo could retain key user information—such as menopause status—it would make the experience far more personalized and genuinely supportive. Tracking works beautifully, but the “conversation” side feels disconnected and repetitive.Fix that, and this would easily be a 5-star app
My teenage daughter has used Flo for years but something she wanted to know was locked into a Premium subscription. She was offered a free trial but then no warning given when it was ending and charged £39.99. As I pay for it I immediately raised a refund request and it was declined twice. My understanding is that within 14days there should be a cooling off period where you can change your mind. I will be taking it up with Trading Standards today. Absolutely appalling way to treat customers especially vulnerable young women who may be really struggling with such a sensitive part of their lives.
